@@SD457500I love your work mate! I’m an Aussie so we don’t have this down here. Also, I once had 10 of my videos stolen and uploaded onto another UA-cam channel that I didn’t consent to. That led to me putting my emblem in my videos. It hasn’t happened since. Just some advice.
You got that right; it was like powder all over the place! I wanted to get the drone up, but with temps around 0 to -10, I didn't wanna risk any damage to it. Thanks for watching!
Thanking you for guiding me to this extended awesome snow view. It was BNSF pushing. At first It looks like SOO LINE & CP RAIL pushing the plow. 😃 I Enjoyed watching this . ❤🎥👍
You are very welcome, and glad to hear that you enjoyed it! It was a cool sight to see in person; I just wish I had gotten drone video of them busting through the snow. I do have a video on here of a Soo Line Jordan Spreader, and a DM&E plow. Thanks for watching!
Please for the love of God .... show the after results as well !! Love the front view... but really a lot of us would loooooove to see how clean it looks after the trains pass !! Like the first clip... that would've been awesome to see.... Pleeeeease !! 😧
Been along the Appleton, Odessa to Ortonville-Bigstone heading to Milbank line many times. Used to haul corn to Poet in Bigstone. Wonderfully filmed vid.
Cory Anderson from Andover, S. Dakota should have the final answer to this one!!! I bet his scratch-bulit Case steam traction engine could plow a 4 lane highway!!
Started watching these last year, great. Then YT algorighm included some German model trains, also great, with plows. My only wish is to see a model train briefly edited into a real train vid ... and see if anyone catches it.
How much of that snow always settles right back onto the tracks behind the path of these trains? Probably a good amount always does. It is a good ingenious solution but not a perfect one snow has to be blown really far far away in order for at least some of it even to not settle right back onto the tracks.

Greetings from the BIG SKY. Thanks.
Low-moisture snow, sub-zero temps and rare equipment moves make for great videos!

@@SD457500 Better to keep the drone in the barn than slog through the snow looking for the parts.
@@douglasskaalrud6865 Very true with that!
This video has it all...thanks for posting.
Roger's pass in BC or Donner pass in California are fun to watch the snow is measured in feet and is like concrete
This was awesome !! Love watching the plow hit the drifts
Glad you enjoyed the video! Thank you for the comment, and watching!
omg ! Hitting the drifts is the Money shot !
Great video work !
Great Sound !
Great Fun watching !!!!!!!!

@@SD457500that horn sounded like a Leslie A200 when in slow motion
Glad to see this in action since we rarely get to see any train action in South Dakota
Nice to hear you enjoyed the video! I'm hoping to get out here again if we get more snow. Thank you for watching!
Bouncing along at 49 miles an hour gets exciting coming across a crossing, or a switch.
Great coverage of one of the ex GN, exx BN Snow Dozers in action. Great video and thanks for sharing. Have a Great New Year.
Very well done, thanks for getting it and sharing it with all of us.
Glad you enjoyed it, and thank you for watching! I appreciate the kind words.
Incredible shots Douglas, really enjoyed this one! Snowplow trains look so good
Many thanks, and glad to hear you enjoyed it! If only there was more daylight, and they got out a little sooner.
THANK GOD WE HAVE PRAVE MEN AND WOMEN WHO EVER THAY ARE TO CLEAR THE TRACKS IN DEAD OF WINTER.. THANK GOD WE HAVE THE EQUIPMENT.
1:41: In super slow motion, the horn reminds me of a WABCO.
Almost like an old Plat horn too!! Hope you enjoyed the video, and thanks for watching!
Wow Great Video wish we would have also more snow in Switzerland until now this winter almost nothing... Love Your video tho!
Thank you for the kind words, and watching! :D I thought that Switzerland usually gets a lot of snow?

Thx. Those plows look like converted cabooses.
No, inside they were nothing like a caboose. Except for the stove.
My special needs son thinks so too.
I love that you didn't correct the slowmo pitch shift. 😁
OUTSTANDING video. Awesome stuff and enjoyed watching. Have a wonderful rest of your evening.

02:13, I never stopped to look at the plow on the trailing bogie but it makes sense.
Yes my son says that is called a flanger it removes snow ❄ and ice 🧊 that gets in between the rails.

Snowplow trains are one kind of train I don't see in Pennsylvania.
They are pretty cool to see, and rare! Hopefully you'll get to see one sometime; they are a sight.
Great footage!!
Thats why rails should be laid such places to clean of snow

Satisfying is what I was after; thanks for watching! Slowing down 60fps to slow mo is perfect for this sort of stuff.

The slow mow horn was sick
Tumi ki korcho?ki kele?
Very cool (no pun).
I realize the deeper & heavier snow would call for a slower speed. Any guess how fast these trains are traveling? Nice video. I enjoyed it 😉
Only got the Appleton sub one on video?
Sadly yes; found out too late about the others. Thank you for the comment, and watching!
