  • I have had the problem of sudden very low engine compression on three occasions and in different BMW vehicles. It is a complex process to repair but simple if you follow this video. This method does not require any engine disassembly or major cost.

I'm in the same boat. Got 3 cylinders with no compression and 3 with very low compression. Can't get it started for nothing. I hate these cars!

I will try this soon. My engine is not starting. I have checked everything, well at least the most suspected components and systems. I just have to go this way to see if it will work. I hope it will. I just need to find a good oil delivery method into the cylinders. Thanks so much. I reckon it took you three days to go through the process.

      Hi. Nice job.
My engine is not starting, Injectors, fuses, spark plug, ignitions all ok.
      Maybe low compressing.

My m54 had issues with sticky piston rings I end up soaking the cylinders 2 times with toralin anticarbon for 2 hours and it completely got rid of it

My 325i just did this. When I get home I am going to try this.

My x5 did this after working on other parts of it for two weeks. What mileage are you at and did yours sit for some time?

@@leveluplife8585 I'm at 214k miles. I don't think it sat for more than three days. It was a total shock when it happened. Still haven't had a chance to work on it, hopefully today.

@@wrenchesinmotion3282 Gotcha, well I hope you figure it out. When my x5 didn’t start I checked everything else before compression of course so and when I realized I didn’t have great compression I thought 270k miles was a good run. Funny thing was it didn’t have any issue before it sat for the other work I wanted to take care of so I was scratching my head for a while!

@@leveluplife8585 just did this, and it fixed the car. Runs great again. Gave me a chance to change plugs, and you wouldn't believe what I found. 5 NGK Iridiums with the 4 straps, and one plain Autolite. Who does things like that? The video for this one will probably be up next Friday.

@@wrenchesinmotion3282 Wow, I’m surprised you haven’t been blowing up coil packs. The ngk laser platinums in mine have 60k miles on them from when I first got the car and they are darker than the set I took out back then. I then checked my ccv and my whole drain tube is clogged full of muddy thick oil so I am not in the process of putting in a catch can and cleaning the dipstick oil drain. It’s worth checking out so you don’t foul your new plugs at half of the expected life!
