I mean, why not? There’s nothing wrong with it. It might’ve been impossible to make it look good at the time but that doesn’t mean the cgi is good. The cgi in the old mortal kombat or spawn is awful.

I honestly don't think most of them were THAT bad. I feel like you especially gotta let off movies that are almost 20 years old.
Baywatch was a huge L though, maybe the worst of them.
A lot of the stuff felt like they were criticising design choices rather than badly executed CGI.

When somebody brings up Cats as an example of bad CGI, you instantly know they don't know what they're talking about. There is a big difference between bad CGI and bad design. The CGI in Cats was technically proficient. The choice to tell artists to stick a nose on a cat was what was horrendous. There are also way worse examples of CGI. The fact The Scorpion King and Die Another Day aren't in here makes this list irrelevant.
You don't even need to get that far into the list to know these people don't know what they were talking about when they made this list

That was some really bad cgi to a point where it took me out of the film. Marvel also constantly overuses cgi and it’s getting a problem. Like in civil war did they have to use a green screen instead of hiring an airport. Many films have done it before and it would’ve looked a lot better

most of star wars wasnt computer generated, they actually used practical tricks on the move rolls by scratching out parts and overexposing the film to create lasers for example.
there was no cgi in the original 3 movies lol

Great CGI makes you appreciate movies even more. Look at Transformers for example. The writing isn't the best, but the CGI is outstanding. It even holds up better than newer movies today.

Tbh after seeing this list, Fast & Furious's CGI is actually quite great, considering there's many moving part in any particular action scene

ultimately I think a lot of the cgi/vfx struggles in these just came down to color correction and shadows or just needing a bit more in put into animation. In my opinion I think a lot of those weren’t as bad as the video made them out to be.

I felt like most of them were stretchs. It looked pretty fine to me. Some of them were really trash (like the fire on water and RPG) but others looked pretty realistic, ohh except the cat one. The concept of that was shit so what can the CGI do.

The movie released in 2009 very few franchises with no marketing for over 13 years can keep people remembering characters especially ones that are killed off. When Avatar 2 reaches other huge global blockbuster numbers despite a still ongoing pandemic I think people will really start to have the respect for Avatar that it truly deserves when they see the new underwater capture technology in the films. No film goes #1 with NO culture impact, that's the recency bias blinding you.
They literally showed a clip of a really shit peice of CG from Avengers infinity war and then go on to call it a CG masterclass in the same vein as avatar.
