@@lflines I was thinking, she is so good! I would have threw my hands up and thrown it in the trash, then gotten it out and set it aside for another day… lol
Thank you for leaving the mistake in your video! We all make mistakes, and I must say, that electric seam ripper is the bomb! I gotta get me one of those!
I made this runner with a Halloween charm pack for my niece. Easy & fun. And if you don’t have a full pack, make it a tad shorter. So cute. Love your charm pack. Too bad you don’t know whose it is! I saw your mistake & kept yelling to you but you didn’t hear me!😂😂
I know! I was so bummed when I realized I didn't know what pack it was, but I'm glad you enjoyed the process anyway! Thanks for watching Cathleen. 😊🐥♥️
Oh, I've done the same thing! I wanted to reach thru the screen and stop you!! Thank you so much for this video. I'm going to make a table runner like that soon. :)
Adorable. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve made some of those same mistakes and to see a professional make them does a heart good. I must be a sister of blue blocks because I do love fabric. I create many many things long before I ever get them sewn.
Girl! That was painful, but you're in good company. Once I made a baby 3 yard quilt, and when sewing on the borders I didn't have right sides facing, sewed the whole long side before finding my mistake. Heavy sigh, ripped it out, cleaned up the threads, then proceeded to sew it on again- and duplicate my mistake. Yeah- you kept your cool much better than I did- LOL. Third time was the charm. No worries- I really enjoy your videos ❤
This turned out so cute. We LOVE quilting with Miss Di. ☺️ Happy Thanksgiving and cheers to the start of the magical holiday season. Hugs to the family. Double hug to little Miss Hazel. 🤗🤗🤗
I'm so glad you enjoyed it! Happy Thanksgiving! I hope you and the fam had a great day too. Michelle is down with something natty, it was linked in the studio today. 🦃😊♥️🦃🐥
@@sisterchicksquilting I kept thing oh gee she is going to have so much picking to do to fix that I love the way you just go with the mistakes . We all make them it’s not the end of the world just get on with it . That why you videos are so enjoyable to watch. Keep it up 💕 Can’t wait for my sister-in-law to get this quilt thank you.
I make a smaller version (shorter with fewer squares) and put it on a sideboard from an inherited dining room set. They're fun to have for the seasons.
Mistakes happen and you know it is totally refreshing to see seasoned quilters make such mistakes just like to rest of us mortals. Thanks for the video loved it.
Thank you Di for this video. Really enjoyed it. Thanks for sharing and being yourself! That’s what we love about your channel, thanks for being you! God bless you!!! ✝️🌅🕊️🙏😇💕🌸❤️
It is beautiful and I of whom have never quilted but thinking i could get this done but definitely more than couple of hours But where do i find the precut blocks ?
Look for a charm pack, online or from a quilt shop. They should be about $15 and there is a very large selection. You will get 42, 5” squares. Have fun and welcome aboard the quilting train😊👍🏼♥️🐥
What a gorgeous vest, Di! Wow! Would you have been that patient if you had not been filming yourself? I think I would have just waited and finished it later! I hate it, Di! BUT! You stuck with it and it’s beautiful! I hope your hostess appreciates your time! Those have always looked a bit complicated for me! Oh, glad your niece liked it! She is really cute!
I did but used to be that patient, as I’ve gotten older it comes on more. She did and she loves homemade gifts. I hope you had a nice Thanksgiving. TFW😊♥️🐥
Happy Thanksgiving. I love that you left your “ mistake” in the video. We’ve all probably done that ourselves 🤣 but seeing how calmly you dealt with it and made it all work out is good for all to see. Sometimes when I make a mistake, I get frustrated and give up, you’ve inspired me to take a breath and sew on and finish. Thank you. I love all your videos and how you explain things so clearly.🙂🧵🪡
I felt awful for you as I was wishing you’d notice that boo boo. At least you keep it real and don’t edit mistakes out. Thankfully it all turned out great in the end. Hope you had a lovely thanksgiving weekend.
Totally sympathizing with you! Yesterday I sewed 24 two-at-a-time HST’s, and all of them had the bottom fabric upside down! 😣Getting to know my seam ripper quite well!
Hope you had some delicious prime rib for Thanksgiving. Video just came out for me today. Your table runner turned out great. I may have to try one myself. However, don’t think I have the patience of going around all those squares.😂 I’ll just chop off the sides to make it straight. Thank you for a great video The journey of the table runner was a great learning experience for me.
This is a very pretty table runner which I plan to make for a gift also. Thanks for sharing. I also love the vests you're wearing in the video. Any chance you could share where you purchased them from? Happy Holidays!!
Thanks Connie, they are great gifts. Those vests are so old, I don’t recall where they came from. I haven’t bought any new clothes in a very long time. I’m just always cold, it’s sweater & vest season. Thanks for watching😊♥️🐥
We enjoy quilting with you because you make mistakes like we do….and you admit it….it lets us feel better about our mistakes ❤ I love this!
Thanks, it’s good to know that you enjoy my goofy mistakes.😊♥️🐥
We love quilting with you because you are down to earth and share your mishapens with us. 😂It's fun to watch you calmly deal with an little oopsy.
I’m glad you’re enjoying my channel. Thanks for watching Denise!😊♥️🐥
Your sense of humor is delightful and I love how you didn't give up on your project, there's always a way to fix oopsies.
That is right there’s always a way to fix something. I personally can’t live with something. I know I could’ve fixed. TFW😊♥️🐥

Hey, it happens to the best of us! I'm sorry you had to take all of that sewing out. That stinks. You still have our attention and it looks so cute!
I love quilting with you. You are a wonderful teacher and show us how to deal with even our mistakes 😅
Aw, shucks, but thanks for the kind words! 😊♥️🐥

What's a little mistake? Picking usually cures it. Yum, I love beef. We had tritip for TG dinner.
We eat a lot of tri-tips, Janie, it’s one of the engineers favorites. Thanks for.

That was a really big mistake, I felt like quite the dope, but I wasn’t going to throw that fabric away. That would’ve been way worse. TFW. Vikki😊♥️🐥
@ Dope???? Been there felt that way too.

Love this. How much fabric is needed for the backing?
I’m didn’t measure, I just had a huge scrap, I used to lay out the top on. I’m sorry but thanks for watching and asking Christa. 😊♥️🐥
More haste less speed I’ve done exactly the same …. More than once !!! 😂😊
Yup, I hear you…….more than once🤣. Thanks for watching 😊♥️🐥
I can't count how many times I have made the same mistake and have had to unsew and resew.
It’s so weird my mind totally thinks in long arm fashion rather than this way. Thanks for watching PJ..
Thank you for the mistake. It reinforces the way it is made. Let's us know how to fix without panicking!❤😂
You’re welcome Renee. Thank you for watching😊♥️🐥
❤
You just let us know that no matter how long you quilt if we get in a hurry we will make mistakes and just go with it!
I think you’re right Katherine I did. Let’s all be patient and kind to ourselves. Thank you for watching my channel.
I would have been lazy and just put another piece of backing on - against the front. :)
It would have been a little thicker, but I'm lazy.
That’s an idea for sure 👍🏼😂♥️🐥
👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
They're sold out I'm so upset
I assume you’re talking about the charm pack. There’s a ton of cute ones out there, thanks for watching.😊♥️🐥
I would have just bundled the whole project and put in the garbage bin.
That was my first thought😂🤣😂TFW😊♥️🐥
