Eurostat has published the latest data on recorded crimes in European Union countries. According to statistics, the highest number of assaults per 100,000 inhabitants, 554, is recorded in Belgium. This was followed by Germany (165 attacks), Luxembourg (101), Austria (42) and the Netherlands (26). The fewest crimes of this type are recorded in Poland - 17 per 100,000 inhabitants. Belgium also recorded the most thefts per 100,000 inhabitants - 1,914. Luxembourg was in second place (1,712), and the Netherlands was third (1,362). Behind them are Germany (1307) and Austria (1276). In Poland, these statistics are much lower - 260 thefts are recorded per 100,000 inhabitants. When it comes to intentional murders, per 100,000 inhabitants, the most of them are recorded in Finland, Cyprus and Belgium - with rates of 1.63; 1.62 and 1.55 per 100 thousand inhabitants. Fewer crimes were recorded in France (1.16) and Sweden (1.07). In Poland, this rate is 0.7 per 100,000 inhabitants. France and Belgium lead in rape statistics. In the first of these countries, 29.38 rapes per 100,000 inhabitants were confirmed, and in the second - 29.25. Further places were taken by Austria (14.93), Luxembourg (12.62), the Netherlands (11.06) and Germany (10.91). In Poland this indicator is 1.99.
There is an American base in Poland where 10,000 American soldiers are stationed. People are safe, I am from Poland and compared to Western Europe it is safe, there are fewer weapons, fewer illegal immigrants and children are dangerous.
