I am Polish and I fully appreciate Poland. I would not live anywhere else for all the money in the world. I was very affluent and lived in the US for 36 years and I am beyond happy to be back in Poland. But of course I am biased because I am Polish and Poland is my Fatherland which every true Pole loves very dearly. 🇵🇱❤️
1:33: Poland doesn't have any royalty and hasn't had for centuries. Horse cabs like that are tourist attractions and operate in a few cities - in particular Warsaw and Kraków. 3:01: That's single-use tickets. For regular travelers, each city (and sometimes multi-city networks) has some form of long-term tickets (daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly) that cover an unlimited number of travel with buses, trams and sometimes even trains within the respective area - I spend about $25 for a monthly ticket 5:55: There's a somewhat higher bar to gun ownership in that you need to have a permit, and getting that permit includes passing psychological and psychiatric evaluations - as well as actually proving you have a reason to own one. It's fairly plausible to get a license for hunting or sport weapons, one for self-defense requires showing there is a clear threat this would address. Which in Poland is much less likely, with violent crime being rare - and armed crime close to nonexistent. 9:19: Not as simple as we merely eat less. European food safety laws are rather more restrictive than American ones, so food here isn't loaded with as many additives (and high-fructose corn syrup basically not a thing), natural produce is far easier to come by and relatively inexpensive, and we also tend to walk more (both due to city layouts and there being less pressure to own and use a car). No such thing as food deserts here, junk food is less popular . 10:30: Mind that the costs of living in Poland are lower too, so it's not as scary as it might seem. Costs of healthcare too, for that matter
I remember one Polish Con in 2017 (it was Tolk-Folk annual Convention of Tolkien fans in little town in south-west of Poland) when we got this American special guest - an opera singer from NY - in a little old town sorrounded by mountains (small) and big hills and forests and there were like 200 people on this camping site and the American guest was shocked about 3 facts. First was that he could see so many old people (in their 80s, 90s) walking up the hills to the woods by themselves to pick some berries or mushrooms and he told the group like - hey, these old guys dont have any oxygen masks or walking sticks even - and the group were laughing and told him - these old guys just walked like this up these hills all their life :) 3 - 5 km from the town up the hills 500 m up. (Though the tallest peak there is like 700m) The second topic this American was shocked about was that between those over 200 of Tolkien fans on this Con there were maybe 2 fat people. So yes, it was real. Though now a days its much more similar like in America I m sad to say :) The last thing the American singer was shocked about was that he was staying in private house of one of organisers and the organiser invited him to breakfast. So the American expected to go to some shopping nearby but no the organiser went to the woods nearby to pick some mushrooms, then he fried these mushrooms with fresh eggs he picked from chickens in his yard earlier that morning and added some fresh herbs from his veggies patch. And some other friends of the organiser gave them some compot (sweet cooked warm juice of any fruits - esp apples, berries or cherries - Polish like to have with dinner or lunch) from the fruits from nearby orchard. Our American guest was happy I think that day :)
Poland is an underestimated country, but recently more and more people see the progress that has been made in Poland ua-cam.com/video/FhbDLHAFrBs/v-deo.html
I m sure that country without guns around feels safer, though there are also some valid arguments about having legal guns to deterrent dangerous people in dangerous places. But at this moment its 3 h past midnight and as I m sitting at my desk I can right now go outside alone and walk some 15 minutes slowly to my town's main square and feel as safe as in my own garden :) the most likely danger I would meet is a stray dog :)
Well You have answer why we don't want refuges from Africa. We have a lot poples from Ukraina, East Asia and some other but they living as a normal guys. Thats why Poland is safe.

3:09 For me as Polish, China and South-East Asia is cheap comparing our salary to living costs. What have to change in Poland yet is that our salary let us live the life on high standard and that we don’t have to move abroad to earn like EUR, GBP or CHF to live „normal life”. But maybe, one day Poland will be a dream country for Poles to live with our currency 💜 Saying it all with love to my country 🇵🇱 We deserve better 🇵🇱🇵🇱

Safer than America is 99% of countires. Poland is just safest in the world.
Not in the world, there are few countries even safer, like Japan for example, but not many of them.
