The moral of the story, people like other people they deem to not be a threat. Once they learned I wasn't a dumb idiot they sensed a threat. It is evolutionary subconscious behavior. They don't know they are staying away out of fear. They just know they don't like someone well rounded and full of agency. People love dumb idiots. It is also a great red-herring tactic to see the truer nature of people. People tend to expose their true nature around people they think are "inferior."
