Only halal food are sold in bazaar Ramadhan anyway. I think these sausages are originally from Cambodia and Nobu n Shun tried them sometime back.
Please note that you are not allowed to bring any non halal food into the mosque. If you accidentally bought/brought pork based meal or alcohol and consumed it in the mosque. Please be mindful.

I did a 3 yr course (research fellowship) at UCSF , 1974-77. Hardly any Muslim there then. No mosque anywhere. There was a synagogue though. How is the situation now?

Beautiful families 🥰 no worries, Zuchan, kids are allowed to be noisy in mosques because they are kids - they can play, run around, laugh and even cry inside mosques because we want to encourage kids to love coming to mosques from a young age and hopefully, that love will remain until they get old 😁
Also, mosques are called House of God (in Malay: Rumah Allah) but that doesn't mean that God actually lives in there. It's just to denote that it is where the remembrance of Allah is done in congregation. In Islam, God is not confined by space or time. God creates everything, including space and time, so creations have no power over the Creator. Maybe you know this already but in case that you don't, I am happy to share. I hope us Muslims in Malaysia are able to demonstrate the true beauty of our religion. Thank you for enjoying our culture 😃

Not all mosques allow that, though😀😀 just choose child-friendly mosque.
When my 2 boys were little, my husband made sure they behave decently in masjid, but still the 3 year old will get up and walk around other people's praying mat. Lucky we have friendly masjid near our house.
Other people take their kids there too, because in other masjid kids get frowned upon and scolded.

There's no pork in bazaar ramadhan. So any meat u buy there usually will be either chicken, beef or lamb. And if u bring food from outside to the mosque, make sure u don't bring pork because it is strictly prohibited.

Normally every year our prime minister will have an open house in putrajaya. Everyone is welcome. So u may go to their open house during hari raya if u want. ☺️

Happy to see your family having Iftar in a mosque in Malaysia. Btw its very important to be sure that the foods u bought and brought into the Mosque are Halal. This is very important bcoz a Mosque is place of worship for Muslims.

During Ramadan almost every mosque in Malaysia serves free food for Iftar (breaking of the day long fasting). But in the bigger mosque like here, because of larger attendance, you need to come at least an hour before Iftar to queue for the food.

Mosques are open to everyone (including non-Muslim) all year round, not only in Ramadhan. You just need to observe the regulations, about dressing in modest attire and head cover for the women and not being overly loud to respect the worshipers. Free iftar food is also for everyone until it lasts, so need to come earlier if you want to sample it. This masjid also known as the Iron Mosque is very special because it usually maintains cool temperature and has a lot of water features. It's serene and gives very calming effects. I hope you can put Japanese subtitles too so that more Japanese understand our culture

Masjid Besi (Steel Mosque) at Putrajaya as called by local..been there before during the hot & sunny day, never feel hot because of the open concept of the architecture design..one of my favourite mosque..
Beautiful mosque👍 I have yet to visit the Sendayan mosque in Negri Sembilan and Iskandar mosque in Johor Bharu . These 2 mosques are just as spectacular and very enchantingly beautiful . Hope you and family are able to visit these 2 mosques. 🥰

Actually, mosques in any country are open to the public! Thus, in Malaysia, you can go anytime within the five daily prayers and for sure it is free. Btw, every Ramadan there will be iftar (break fast) provided at local mosques and musolla for Muslims and also whoever wants to experience iftar, but make sure to come early to get the food. masjid mizan (always we called it masjid besi/ steel mosque) really utilize affection of water around the mosque for calm and nice conditions , literally for it. normally all big masjid in KL has their own tourists guide to explains a lot thing. but seem in Ramadhan everyone quite busy for the pray. just ask anyone if need to know anything. normally Malaysians call speak english..

Also, mosque is not where God reside. Allah is not bound by space and time. He exist without space nor time. Mosque is a place of worship. But, even without being inside mosque, Muslims can perform prayer anywhere as long as the place is clean.
Also, mosque all around Malaysia are open to all people regardless of faith and it's not only on Ramadan. You can come and do shooting even after Ramadan.
