- I feel like this is a really appropriate time to release this song given everything that we are all going through. I wrote it when I was still living in London and had been away from Ireland for 7 years. It took living abroad to make me realise how much I loved this country, the people, the music, the scenery, everything. I hope it makes you smile and makes you proud of your home too.

I heard this song for the first time today on the radio and felt so emotional that i had to write the song title and artist down immediately. Megan , your words and music in this particular song personify the Ireland that i have always loved and missed when i leave her shores. Despite her turbulent past , the beauty and character of her landscape and people still endure and shine through and that is what you have managed to portray in this song and that is not always an easy task. Therefore, i salute you for achieving something special in a song. Well Done.

I am British with two Irish ☘️ parents and an amazing Irish family. Honestly I never have truly connected to ENGLAND yet Ireland 🇮🇪 feels like home. Like I have never left it’s my favourite place on earth and for all my life I have said i belong in Ireland 🇮🇪 . I am going to move HOME when I am older I am going to move to Ireland 🇮🇪.

Hello Megan. I have been living in Berlin (a fab city in itself) since 2007. Unfortunately there is a part of me that will never settle here... I am not far away from Ireland; just 2 hours by plane, but it's not and never will be home. I still say "I am going home for Christmas". It is sad that I cannot give everything to where I am, but also, I cannot change it! Your song is amazing. The lyrics cut straight to my heart. Thank you for singing and sharing it with the world! Listening in from Washington DC 2/2/21 - I love this song! My love for home has never left me and I look forward to coming home every time. Covid19 has tested our coping mechanisms but I'm thankful for WhatsApp, Skype, Hangouts and all this new App technology that lets us at least see and talk to our families until we can either come home or they come to see us - Home is where the heart is and our hearts are where our families are back home! Love my home country!
