    These companies are pissing the big boys off. Makes no sense what they ask today.

      The Chinese have come a long way in the last 10 years. I would say,in 5-6 years from now they will be on the same level of quality,that the S.Koreans and Japanese are.
      Just look how much Indonesia has improved in this area over the last decade,with companies like Ibanez producing their more high-end lines like the Premium Series down there.
      Meanwhile,Gibson is busy suing other,smaller US companies,like Dean,Sully or Kiesel who´s models are clearly distinguishable from theirs.

      @@robertclarkguitar i got the butterscotch fsr bullet tele for 150 shipped on sale a few weeks back. All I had to do was pull it out of the box and tune it. Worked perfectly fine and no bad frets, tuners and hardware are fine, pickups are fine. Great guitar. No reason to spend to spend over 200 bucks on a guitar these days. I might spend up to 350 for a fancy fsr mexican strat or tele if it has some fancy paint job or something but besides that theres no need for me. I'll spend the money on the amp.

    Great guitar for the price!

    I got the Purple FFLP and was really blown away by the difference in quality between it and the 2 FF338's and FFJr I had previously purchased (which I felt were good guitars overall for the price point). I'm willing to bet the factory is the same that does Epi's. As far as the flame top, I do agree it does have some nice depth to it. My tuners seem to be pretty solid so far, and I believe the nut is bone...I haven't have any jumpiness in tuning, but I'm sure it is hit and miss with a guitar at this price point. The FFLP's are IMO a $600 or more name brand quality guitar and a great platform to upgrade to your taste of sound.

    Guitar fetish has great quality Korean made tuners, pups, bridges for very affordable prices. I've used their roller bridges for 15 years. No string breakage and less tuning issues

    Never met anyone from West Virginia that didn't talk straight up and from the heart :-) I just got one today since they replenished the stock (they had none in stock for over a month) and fingers crossed, it might just show up with all the screws in place without any major issues :-) We'll see. I just want to to play the crap out of it and have fun setting up, etc. Nice video! Thank you for doing this!

    Hi Ronald, I partially disagree with your assessment of the tuners. Yes, there cheap. But it's the nut that causes the tuning to jump around. I cured it by dressing the nut slots (especially the D and G) and then using some nut lube. Now I have no problems with tuning and no problems with staying in tune.

    • @RonaldLeggettJr
      @RonaldLeggettJr  4 роки тому

      D. K. Pick it was definitely the tuners one striped out or something and wouldn’t tune right

      @dkpick 4 роки тому

      @@RonaldLeggettJr Wow! I lucked out on the tuners. But, I'm going replaced them any. The original bridge was toast. Every screw want bent due to a shitty job when they pressed the screws in. But, yours was semi OK? And I will replace the pickups as well. But it looks and play awesome!

    I got 2 of these. The first was the Blueberry Burst (BB), the second is Black (BKE). The BB is fine, no issues. The BKE is being returned for issues noted: "The strings buzz as follows: Open 4th and 5th. At the 13th fret, the 2nd, 3rd, and 5th strings buzz when noted. I think there is a combination of neck setup, nut setup (i.e. depth for the strings to properly set), fret leveling issues, and saddle issues. At the switch the nut must have been put on too tight, and the nut is stripped. It also looks like the saddle bolts were set too tight and those bolts were bent when installed (that is, the saddle bolts look twisted at the slots)." Overall, compared to my Les Paul, I have to say my Gibson Les Paul has more color in the sound, the sound is also more mellow and more bass as compared to the FFLPS from FireFly. Both FFLPS's seem to have more treble than the Les Paul, but it's a sweet treble. The body workmanship on both BB and BKE is really good. No marring, the binding is well done. The BKE will not stay in tune, the BB has some slippage of the D tuner. I would say that for the price these are pretty good guitars. I would take the BKE for a setup and fret leveling, and the other work it needs with the nut. But that would cost about $200, which isn't bad for a setup on a new guitar (generally around $110.00 with no issues), but I'm not sure what other issues will be found on the BKE guitar. Plus some if the hardware needs replaced due to stripping of the switch nut, and twisted heads of the saddle screws. Guitar Garden ignored my request for return and replace or return and refund until I got PayPal involved. Guitar Garden offered me $20.00 to fix the issues. But $20.00 will not fix the issues. So I'm still pushing for a return and replace, or return and refund on the BKE. I have to say I don't like the FireFly sticker on the back of the neck (WHY? - anyway, I removed them).

  • @TobiasBray
    @TobiasBray 2 роки тому

    Nope. I got a dud and guitars garden will not respond to my requests for service. Nut fell off, frets are not polished, ground buzz when hands off. Return policy has me getting a refund of the cost of the guitar - what I paid to have them ship it to me - the shipping cost back to them (200 - 30 - 30). There is a reason why they are no longer sold on Amazon. Hassle-free returns for a full refund. So nice that they offer well-crafted guitars for vloggers to review.

    If finding the cheapest guitar is your priority, then, I guess it makes sense. I guess.
    I don’t think, missing screws, bad tuners, a cheap bridge, high action and a cheap switch really qualifies as “perfect” though.
