Hard to go back to the console version now, it's not just visuals the 60fps actually makes it easier to time invincible frames etc. Having mod support is always a nice thing too 👍. (Visual mods only). I do have to work out the kinks of uploading high quality videos though, this was a 40gb file originally, took me 2 days to get this thing uploaded.
@@2Kruel same i never went back to my console save. Took a break from Monster Hunter after R. Brachy and F. Rajang came out. Might have to come back to kill this thing.
If I remember correctly, it was mostly savage devijho armour with some custom mod wings. The hat and mask might also have been a modded version of 2 savage devijho head armours combined, i can't quite remember.
@@VirgoZone It's been a couple of years, there's a chance it's an existing mod that I re-coloured myself, but honestly not sure. Just had a look through my old Iceborne mods, that mod seems to be a mod comprised of more than 1 mod. Sorry, I don't have the original names of the mods, i'd recommend searching for black esurient armour/armor mods, if I remember correctly that should be one of the mods used. I think the head/face might have been customly adjusted by myself though with a 2nd mod, so that mod might not be available. edit. yeah, it seems the head is a combination of the female and male head, that hat and mask combo is not normally possible, if i remember correctly, I did that myself.
It's always nice to see another IG user. Best weapon in my opinion. I found out that the game can look really good (usually) by turning off a whole bunch of the shade and particle options. It boggles my mind that turning off these features actually makes the game look better (except with cut scenes). What display options are you running with? Also 500 hours of playing the game between PS4 and PC and I never knew you could do a dive bomb shot with the IG. Learn something new every day.
Hi and thanks, insect glaive is definitely underrated in Iceborne, i do tend to use all the weapons in the game though, keeps things fresh. Been a while since i've played Iceborne, but pretty sure the only thing I disabled was volumetric fog, that setting baffles me, makes the game look way worse and is the biggest framrate hog. It was running at 120 fps in HDR at 3840 x 2160, but youtube only allows 60fps video, and I didn't know how to upload a hdr video at the time. The mid air dive (Descending Thrust), is great damage, links straight into combos and also marks the spot you hit for your kinsect to auto attack, making it arguably the most useful combo linker for insect glaive. edit. Actually this might have just been at 60fps, don't think I had a hdmi 2.1 setup at that time.
@@2Kruel The reason Insect Glaive is so good is because it's a long range and short range weapon. No joke, I have a video on my Playstation of me taking down a Bazelgoose with just the insect. It was freakin hilarious, though it did take FOREVER lol. I also really like the Swaxe and Bow. My plan this time around with the game is to actually try every weapon, but I want to beat the game first only using one, then afterwards, go back and fight all the monsters all over with the different weapon options. So, i play with 165 fps and after a certain point, I really don't notice the different. 30 fps to 60, noticeable, 60 to 100, noticable, 100 to 144...not really...at least me. My monitor goes up to 165 and I made sure that all settings are set to the right thing, but meh, maybe that's just a me thing. Man I remember downloading something that took 24 hours to complete, and that wasn't 4k...oof. hmm, volumetric fog...interesting. I do plan to set all the settings to the lowest and see what that looks like, I'm sure it'll give me a chuckle. My game looks really good and I'm very happy with it. I found the settings I chose on a website called Noobs2Pro. Though I am extremely pleased, I still wanna try and tweak it more. Thanks for the info. I'm gonna go to the practice room and find that move immediately...I really don't know how I didn't know of it's existence. I'd always do the spinning drop which I mean, did the job, but it's just really cool to know there is another move I have never used, let alone knew existed. 60fps, 120fps, dude, you're game looks amazing. You have a great rig. I myself went with the msi gs75 9sg 2080 max Q. It's a great laptop and I've had no issues with running pretty much everything on Highest settings, however, I sometimes find that the highest settings really aren't that important. So as for the recording at 60fps, from what I have seen, that seems to be the highest that recording on media goes AND all of those high specs don't really matter anyways usually because most people are watching these videos on their phones lol. Also, congratulations on the Alatreon fight, solo no less. You might not be playing anymore, but that is still a feat which many cannot do. Kudos. In fact, I am extremely rusty at the game right now. 50 hours in, just got to Elder's Recess without any issues, then BAM...I can't beat any of the monsters...it was pretty pathetic. So right now, I relearning to "git gud" lol Anywho, nice talking with you. Have a good one.
@@2Kruel Hey there, I just found out why I didn't know about Descending Dive, it's not in Monster Hunter World, it's in Iceborne. It was apparently DLC lol. I just find that so funny.
@@kukukachu Ah yeah, just assumed because this was an Iceborne video you had Iceborne, there were many new moves added to the weapons, some really amazing ones.
@@2Kruel yea, that thinking would make sense, but I'm kinda salty that I bought MHW at $20 on PC (bought PS4 version for $55) because I thought that I could buy the Iceborn DLC at $10 later (when on sale) since they were advertising the whole package for $30...I was wrong. I haven't ever really felt the need for Iceborne either as the content you get with MHW is vast as well. Maybe I'll give in eventually, but that still made me really salty. Oh BTW, Monster Hunter Rise Demo just became available on PC.
Damn this looks amazing
