♻️Happy gardening to all my viewers and subscribers.
I just need to share Terry. For anyone who is growing Avocado trees. When it's in bloom, if you go out between 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM.. And shake your tree Vigorously, wherever you have blossoms. You will help pollinate the flowers. And you will get a bunch more avocados.

Must get making some of that comfrey feed myself... just another job for the list 😂... Jim
@jimstormcrow my list has gone through the roof Jim.....🤣 did my tomatoes yesterday so they are now supported, side shoots removed and fed. Sticking to the priority jobs.
@@terrykingsallotmentgardening that's all you can do. One foot in front of another. 👍

Quality content as always. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
@jmawdsley2 thank you very much mate.
Hi my dear friend you always give so much great information about the garden. Always enjoy your video so much in your garden is looking beautiful. Hugs and kisses from grandma Sandy and Debbie.
@GrandmaSandy thank you my friend's, I love to share my thoughts, methods and experiences.
That's a nice comfrey bed terry! I harvest it growing wild next to my friends horse field where I get my horse manure. I'm able to get, three or four lots per year. It's wonderful stuff, even if it does stink!
❤ for Mrs K x.
@fergusdangerfield156 the concentrate doesn't smell or freeze so this is definitely the way forward.
Good show Tel, I started adding nettle to my comfrey bin 50/50 for a better balanced nutrient profile, you can also use himalayan balsom and/or willow herb (fire weed) as they're also dynamic accumilators, I wouldn't sow them on purpose tho (invasive) but the field at the back or me is full of them, they're also edible but it's recomended not to eat too much as they're very high in minerals, I've got a meter cube compost bin full for a high mineral compost this yr trying to sort out this rubbish topsoil I got delivered in Feb
@@glassbackdiy3949 lovely comment Pete, thank you.
Fire weed has a central stem that tastes of cucumber.😁👌👍❤️
Thanks Terry I collected my comfrey but could do with a larger container, wheelie bin is a great idea. Thanks Terry and take care
@@sandram4526 I first used this bin for the Rhubarb juice, but that never worked to use as a bug killer.
We are in the process of creating a vegetable garden in our suburban garden in New Zealand and love this channel. Next year we will definitely be using your parsnip growing tips. Soil health is something that we are learning and we have now planted comfrey and borage in various parts of the garden.
@karenhealey935 the soil was good here before I got these allotment's, but the ground desperately needed organic materials to bring it back to life, I am getting there slowly. Good luck my friend's.
Thanks for sharing all your knowledge. You really impress me with all your sweet ups. I wish I could find things like the bags, scaffolding fabric excreta. I have found in my little corner of Pennsylvania people just want money for everything.
I use my comfrey, it is the spreading kind, not sure we have the other kind in the US. These plants came from my aunt's home that was my grandmother's before that.
I use it to make a liquid fertilizer by placing it in a covered bucket, that I get from cat litter, and let it steep and then use it. Whatever I feed with it thrives
@ruthadams2413 doing the comfrey this way stops the smell that you get by steeping. Keep looking and you will eventually find some freebies Ruth.
I'm losing it, watched this on first day of release and sure I left a comment ! I need to up my Comfrey game
@sowgroweat6987 I am sure you did too Mike, but it isn't there.
Nice tip Terry thanks
@@leewozzashomeveggiegarden cheers Lee.
Hey Terry, I've had family visiting for a week, so I'm afraid I'm behind on your videos. My most sophisticated is a green chop and drop with comfrey so far. I obviously have a lot to learn!
~ Sandra
@NanasWorms there is lots of ways to use comfrey and chop and drop is another good one Sandra.
Wouldn't be without my comfry now terry ,it's free and it's dam good stuff 😅
@nidge2822 my tomatoes had a good feed at the weekend and hopefully liked it.
I need to trim my comfrey, good advice as always Terry.👍👌🙏💕💪😁
@nickthegardener.1120 it does so much better after a few trims Nick, keep thinking about the bees though.
@@terrykingsallotmentgardening hi Terry I always pick the pollinated flower spikes.👍🙏👌😁💪💕
@@nickthegardener.1120 👍❤️👍
I don’t have comfrey here, we can buy seed but it’s the spreading variety 😮. I did fall for the buying seed online once and it did not even germinate 🤬. Have a wonderful day and hope Mrs K is better today than yesterday and even better again tomorrow ❤️🩹❤️🩹, Ali 🌞🥵🫠🇨🇦
@myrustygarden thank you Ali, unfortunately you can only get Bocking 14 by the root and hopefully they send the correct variety.
it's 35 Cel here i covered the tomatoes, it's to hot here on the Oregon coast .....thanks for the good ideas !
@micktepolt6276 cheers Mick our temperatures are fluctuating so much our plants are going to seed here.
Hi Terry we have one area that it grows and I harvest it even Vals happy to cut it if I can't which is brilliant for the plots .
@billvalsallotments5915 nice to have a patch to harvest from.
I liked your banana liquid too. HRH has started eating my breakfast so now (after whingeing about no bananas left for me) we get enough for him too. This year the compost was spread along the spuds and they've done really well. Still have more compost so that's going on the beds with the squashes. Bit tardy with them again - too cold!
@kerryl4031 thank you Kerry, we do need to make more compost.
Great video as always Terry. I'm just about to start some nettle fertilizer, but may do the comfrey too. Thanks Terry 😊
@GardenerGray just remember the nettles ideally need to be fresh and not have seeds heads on them or you will be spreading nettle seeds everywhere.
@@terrykingsallotmentgardening great advice Terry 👍
Great video, I noticed 2 different dilutions on your comfrey containers, 1:20 and 1:40. Can you tell me what dilution you use for what plants. I'm trying comfrey tea fertilizer this year, do you have a dilution ratio for comfrey tea. Love your videos, Im learning so much.
@traceyingram-vd4ip Hi Tracey, it all depends on the comfort have and it's age and how many nutrients are in the ground it I planted so a test ratio is needed on a plant to see how it reacts and then you can adjust the ratio to suit.
Nice one Terry I need to do Myne I was thinking of going over it with a lawnmower to chop it all up might speed up the process what do you think?
@CoastalGardensNW I don't even chop it Duncan, you will lose too much water in the time you cut and chop and seal it into a container, may try chopping it in the bin quickly......🤣. Realistically there is no rush because it will be used next season.
@@terrykingsallotmentgardening good point Terry thanks mate glad I asked now
Slugs got my cucumbers this year, think my 2nd sowing will be too late sadly
@thegreygamer9975 they always catch up mate, your not late. We are early.
@@terrykingsallotmentgardening that’s what I’m banking on, and we have a late or extended summer towards September a little.
@@thegreygamer9975 👍❤️❤️👍
Hi Terry. How is Mrs K. doing please?
@@debbienash4175 as good as can be, CT Scan results on Wednesday and 4th chemo on Thursday.
@@terrykingsallotmentgardening sending positive thoughts
@@debbienash4175 👍❤️👍
How did you make your comfrey bin?
@LisaMay_HomeAndAway I bought a waste pipe connector to fit to the bin and some wire on top inside to stop the hole blocking up. Will be doing a video on the ratios that I use so will show it then Lisa.
What's the difference between comfrey and bokking 14 Terry ?
@studucky7826 the only difference is the Bocking 14 seeds are sterile and it doesn't spread so easily Stu.
There's lots of videos on how to make comfrey juice. what would be useful is something on how to filter and dilute it to a non-lethal concentration - nobody seems to show that. I guess it must be obvious :D
@mahlapropyzm9180 the issue is that some established comfrey has more nutrients than a younger plant, there may be more or less nutrients deep down in the ground, and how much water is added while steeping. The best thing to do is add a mix to a plant and see how it reacts and adjust the ratio accordingly.
@@terrykingsallotmentgardening Thank you for that, very helpful.
@@mahlapropyzm9180 👍❤️👍will be doing a video on this subject because of all the interest.
@@terrykingsallotmentgardening Good news - I have access to loads of it near my sister's place. Steeped some a while back but have been unsure how to use what I made. It does stink though - maybe that will help repel pigeons.
@mahlapropyzm9180 hahaha it may attract them....😟
