Welcome to your first German lesson. We will be talking about fruits and vegetables today. Stay tuned till the end where I'll repeat the vocabulary close up and from ear to ear. :)
Disclaimer: This role play is meant to be relaxing and is in no way intended to be a real German lesson. I am aware that it is neither didactically nor methodically sufficiently elaborated.

Well English IS part of the Germanic family (along with Afrikáans) so that’s probably why the accent might not always be so different. (Also she might of learnt German secondly)

This isn't true at all, in my school there are about 5 people (including me) who are fluent in English, at least that I know of.
You often see students who excel at maths struggle heavily in English and their other language (in my school it's either French, Spanish or Latin) and the other way around.
I, for example, struggle immensely in physics and maths, as well as chemistry and other sciences, but never struggled with languages.

Schönes Video. Das bringt mich gerade von dem enormen Stress hier auf der Arbeit runter. Danke! :)

Do you use ß for every double ss or is it optional. I assume it automatically replaces ss.

Pens don't make that scratchy sound as do pensils. Could you write with a pen in the future? A ball point one would be awesome.
