- Today we are looking at the wonderful Snake Plants and how to care for them inside our homes.
In this series we examine all the basic care needed to keep our plants happy and growing as well as possible. We begin each video by looking at where these plants are native to. This gives us clues as to the best possible lighting the plants will need, as well as watering, the correct type of soil medium substrate to use, the appropriate size container to utilize, as well as how to fertilize and how often. I finish each video by giving some unique ways to use these houseplants in your home and any other pertinent information.
The goal of these videos to provide comprehensive, yet succinct information about each plant presented so that you can walk away with all the information you need, and nothing more! A co-worker was dividing his snake plant at home and brought some plants to the office for whoever wanted one, I took one. They grew so well that after years have past I have a total of five plant, all cuttings of the mother plant.
Goood for you!!
Perfect timing for this. I’m currently repotting some of my plants this weekend. My 4 year old snake plant is about two foot tall and pretty thick. I need to repot it as it’s getting too big for the current pot. It truly does clean the air also.
Perfect!
Great ❤
😀
I just got a whale fin yesterday ❤
Sweeeeeet
Great tips. It would be appreciated by many, I’m sure, if you could include toxicity to pets. Thanks.
Good idea
around Gainesville ga we call them mother in laws tonge
Yes I’ve heard that too!
Ive had the tegular snake plant with plenty of success. Recently we bought a cylindrica and it is slowly dying. The tips of the leaves are turning brown, top down. What should i do?!
Are you able to give it more lighting?
I have a couple of snake plants. The tall one has bloomed once. I wish I knew what it took to have it bloom more often.
that's awesome! typically prolonged warmth and dry conditions can induce blooms
I have one in the bathroom with a window and it’s not growing that much. It’s not straight it’s sort of curled.
Can this fertilizer be used on succulents like jade plants?
Yes you can!
@@plantvibrations Thank you!!
Thank you for this video, Devin, and for the many others I have viewed. I noticed that you had a beautiful coleus growing indoors. When I have coleus and impatients indoors they often suffer from a sticky, white, ball-like fungus that kills the plant if I don't catch it in time. (I think it's a fungus, but I'm not sure.) Would you happen to know how one could prevent this?
Hmm is it possibly mealy bugs?
FYI - The link to the fertilizer doesn't work. However it takes you to your site with a button to keep shopping. So from there I found the fertilizer. I just let you know that the link doesn't work.
Ahh dang ok! Thanks for letting me know!

Are you gonna grow your hair back out?
It already is!
