This anime has motivated me to play the piano :))
Even though I'm honestly no good at it yet, and I still haven't been able to read notes yet, this anime has filled me up with so much determination that I'll 'try' and learn it slowly. One time, I was in a store which sold apple devices and stuff, and there was a piano app in one of the iPads so I was like, "hey. I should play One Last Time by Ariana Grande", and so I did it. I actually only knew to play the chorus, unfortunately, but even if I only knew so little, one of the employees came up to me and said, "that was really good!" Minutes later, the once quiet store turned into a head-bopping awesome music playing store because they literally played One Last Time! And most likely because of me! Ever since then, I'm now holding my head up high with the most determination to learn something then I've ever had before. I'm making progress, and even though this song looks incredibly difficult to play, I bet one day I'll be able to play it ;) Thank you Your Lie In April for existing~

Ok. Due to some recent events of COVID-19, I decided to watch Your Lie in April. And I bloody loved it. I decided I wanted to learn the first opening on the piano. But I woke up too early and my parents are still asleep. I have a pair of headphones connected to my keyboard. But not to my phone.

This Anime made me want to learn how to play the piano. I can't take lessons because I have enough time for that and I can't read sheet music so I try to learn it through UA-cam. It's really hard haha XD
Caskadanna Add a note technique. Play the first 2 notes 8-12 times, then add the 3rd note and play that 8-12 times, and just keep doing that. You learn songs with muscle memory. It does take a while tho but you will learn.

Lol... the only way you can learn how to play the piano is by reading the notes. That's where it should really start. (me as a violinist)

Since I was 10 I wanted to learn the piano. This anime inspired me to finally go after that dream and after learning for only a couple months, I still suck but it's the love of music that drives me to continue learning.
This is how you know it's a good anime. I saw ppl in the comments saying "this made me want to learn how to play the piano". This changed our perspective about the world so we can make it a better place. I always wanted to play the piano, but my mom made me play guitar instead. I dropped it and now I wanna learn how to play the piano.

Your lie in april, was one of my most favorites animes of all time. I've seen it about 8 times already and still get touched. Yes, I indeed play the piano, and have been since I was 4. I'm now 13, turning 14 in about 3 months. But truly this piece is really moving and I learned how to play it in 2 months without notes. Thankyou for playing this piece.
Your Lie in April was what made me buy a piano 3 years ago. I wanted to learn the piano but didn't have access to the right resources or a good teacher so I gave up. Now, I rewatched the anime once again a couple of weeks ago and I'm finally picking it up again. I've been practising 30 minutes a day, well to be exact I've just been doing hand exercises. I'm trying to self-teach myself so it's difficult. I'm not sure what to teach myself or how to learn techniques and hand independence. Do you have any tips and advice~?

English Dub confirmed! So glad it's not directly Funimation dubbing it, that would have completely ruined the show for me. The voices all sound pretty good and fit with the characters, and it's the first dub in a while that I'm excited for. But anyway, I love this song to pieces. Thank you!
I personally felt the voice actors sounded a bit too generic ,but you can tell they were very experienced voice actors. I think it'll be good.

Insane_Chara 000 I've been playing for 10 years by ear. No sheet music I don't remember how to read it. I believe you'll do just fine. Just practice everyday and you'll learn and improve. TBH I was just like you I couldn't use my left hand I really didn't know any chords. I still don't know but I improved a lot. It can be difficult at time but Me myself can't really play Bach or Chopin pieces. I was a beginner as well. I played at age 4 it was quite difficult but I got through it. I hope you improve in your practice and continue to grow.
