- Today I'm back with some Splinter Cell Blacklist. I've had an itch to come back to this game recently & as we wait for some new games to be released I figured now was the perfect time. It amazes me that Ubisoft seemed to have abandoned this franchise, I know a remake is being worked on so I'm looking forward to more info on that. If you compare it to mgs for example, there's a certain fluidity in sc that seems missing

Splinter Cell BL is one of my favourite stealth games. It's rewarding and fun yet challenging and requires you to use your brain. Love it.
Chaos theory was my favorite but I like blacklist spy's vs mercs online was so much fun

I am so, so happy you were able to recover this. Years of hard work, and _beautiful_ gameplay archiving going on. In my opinion, the best pure gameplay channel on UA-cam for anyone who just wants to know "hey, what is this game like in normal gameplay before I buy it?"
that game also had one of the most fun multiplayer modes ever!

It was fun but peak will always be chaos theory and double agent.
Blacklist was more of a coming off an identity crisis that was conviction but trying to come back to what it was suppose to be.
The multiplayer was super fun though
@@tysonbell3524 Chaos Theory I can understand seeing as someone’s argument about peak SC, however the PC version Double Agent was the biggest mess I have ever seen. However the Wii version was decent
@@andytoskovic cant really speak for the pc version as I played the 360 version. It ran decently thankfully.
Shame to hear the pc port was lacklustre
@@tysonbell3524Chaos Theory was peak splinter cell no doubt. Idk why ubisoft abonded this series. Pretty much all stealth games are dead now. There weren't any stealth games in 8th generation besides Hitman.

I miss this franchise show much. I was in the top of the leaderboard for classic.
One of the best level designs and campaigns amongst splinter cell and in general too.. it is in my top 10 games of all time (+Chaos Theory)

This was such a brilliant and underrated game.
And typically gamers destroyed it when it launched. They hated on it so vocally that it didn't perform well and now we haven't had a new splintercell game in ages.
Man I remember running survival on the highest difficulty with the boys back in the day and what I would do for a system upgrade to ps5 for this, Sam Fisher will always be the 🐐 🤝🔥

Idk I thought about trying this but it's such a far cry from chaos theory and the og game
I only ever played the traditional Splinter Cells so it's really interesting to see where the series went. Sam seems younger and much stronger here, faster and more agile. Is this game a prequel? The gameplay reminds me slightly of the early Assassin's Creed games if they had placed more of an emphasis on stealth! Is this game as hardcore with its stealth mechanics as the earlier entries were?
He's meant to be much older than he was in the tradition trilogy. Like we're talking about almost senior citizen

No it's not a prequel, the events take place in 2013. Sam Fisher is now leader of Fourth Echelon, Third Echelon has been shut down.
The game is fun and good but imo it has nothing to be called a Splinter Cell game. The stealth is not as hardcore and challenging as it was in the first entries, the game is more intended for casual mainstream audiences. The last real Splinter Cell game was Double Agent, Ubisoft ruined the series after that.

That actor has a cool voice and he’s good, it’s just not the same though without Michael Ironside. I understand he was very sick. Great game though. I like all the splinter cell games they had to change up the gameplay. Chaos Theory is still the best one IMO.

man sam fisher is so fuckin strong for a middle aged man
The only gripe I have with this game is that people scream out after they've been shot in the head. When someone gets a kill shot through the head they collapse like a marionette with its strings severed. There's no screaming. So that tells you something about the game, if that's my only gripe

Sam is supposed to be 56 in Blacklist, even though Eric Johnson gives a good performance he can’t match the gruffness and world weariness of Ironside
