In their Birdland debut, The Hot Club of Cowtown, from Austin Texas, present that perfect mix of jazz, swing, and Americana that has come to be known as Western Swing. The trio of fiddler/vocalist Elana James, Guitarist/vocalist Whit Smith, (both Western Swing Hall of Famers, along with current bassist Beau Samples, have toured the world for over twenty-five years, with artists including Bob Dylan, Willie Nelson, Gatemouth Brown, the Avett Brothers, Dan Hicks, Bryan Ferry, and many more.

Fantastic musicians ! I saw them on Long Island once or twice . That venue closed in 2009 , obviously it was prior . Good to see them again .
Charming band! And terrific players. The lady owns that fiddle.
A great show and Emily and I ware there second row below the stage at Birdland. Django Reinhardt meets Les Paul meets George Gershwin meets Texas long-bow fiddle. A show for everyone. Hope to see you at Musikfest in Bethlehem, PA sometime.
Hard to beat these three but they can be matched, but in a slightly different genre: Western Swing. I love that Elana!
Great fiddler! I saw Hot Club of Cowtown many years ago but there were more members. Is this a subset of them?
