I have a 1910 banjolele, wooden tuning pegs and maybe original resonator skin. It's folded oddly were it tucks in. I'm not sure what things looked like back then. A lot of similarities to my 5 string banjo except there are a couple types of tuning. The reason for this instrument was for volume on the Vaudeville stage. The Uke was a very popular instrument on stage but the larger the shows the harder it was to hear the Uke. So in the late 1800's someone made one. The resonator made all the difference for volume until electricity and amplification in the 1920's. The popularity soon fell off until recently with the popularity of the Uke and bluegrass experiencing some expanded popularity. Thanks for the Vlog.🎶👂✌😊
Yeah.. sounds like left has a flat E, and right has a flat A. Most likely just new ukuleles, you have to tune them 20-30 times before the nylon stops stretching depending on the quality of the strings
Thank you much‼️‼️from western North Carolina… have a nice 5 string banjo… however, hard to to reach and chord and it is HEAVY, for me,…back surgery etc … another UA-camr was discouraging about the banjolele … for first time saw them in music store was really intrigued… but please you or any viewer relay some positive and encouraging comments to me… appreciate it‼️‼️👍🏻😁👏🏻👏🏻HAVE A HAPPY DAY🙋🏼♀️
1) You guys are cute! LOL! 2) I started lessons with a new student tonight, who had signed up for banjo lessons. Turns out that what she has is a banjolele! So, since I don't have a banjolele, I got out my ukulele to teach her what to play. And now, I'm surfing UA-cam for ideas of what to teach her to play on her instrument in future lessons. I figure I should look for songs that are folky or bluegrassy, but lend themselves to the ukulele tuning. "Wagon Wheel" is a great song for a 2nd lesson! (She already knows basic ukulele chords, although she hadn't noticed that her "banjo" is tuned exactly the same way.) And, since, as you said, just strumming basic chords can get boring pretty quickly, what I usually do with "Wagon Wheel", when I teach it on the banjo, is play a finger-picking pattern for the verses, and strum the chorus. Pretty similar to what you came up with! (Great minds think alike, and all that! 😄) Got any other good ideas for banjolele songs?
Love it when great musicians get together and just jam. Always amazing!

@@privateinformation8364 Yep, absolutely! You can also stretch the strings a bit by pulling up on them gently. That will speed the process a bit.
Only had mine two days and have already had to tune it 10 times.Guess that's nylon gut.😮

I would slap some 5ths tuning strings on those.
I am from Bangladesh please tell this banjo price
the guy on the right looks like PewDiePie
The banjolele above should be considered a soprano banjo.
There are a couple different lengths. I have the short one. Can't remember the lengths though.
Can you play Barre chords?
one of the most popular instruments from the 20's. find out who George Formby is.
Tune them up first
Is that pewdiepie because if not it sure looks a lot like him
“Staring” is pronounced “stairn”.
Love u guys but I’ll pass on the banjolele...does not sound too good, it’s a weird mix of sound coming out of that instrument.
Here is some banjolele you might like ua-cam.com/video/6t28COxEp2k/v-deo.html
Interesting, but I agree with the other sentiments that these don't sound very good. Nice presentation though.
They’re so out of tune.
Thank you for no Dovydas
The banjolele is perhaps the most irritating instrument I have ever heard.
Dude please tune the strings properly before recording ffs
