Where did you buy the transom brackets? I can’t find them on power poles website.

I got mine from bass pro but I see it’s not available there right now. Here is a link for the same one at Walmart. Power-Pole Transom Braced Kit Universal www.walmart.com/ip/1730470247
Here it is on the power pole website.

I have the same Tracker 175. Does having just 1 Power Pole keep you anchored pretty well without spinning?

You will definitely spin with wind. I use my trolling motor to keep myself in a stationary position or I will position my boat facing away from the wind so that I can still fish my target from the front of my boat.

Thanks for sharing. How did it affect your speed and gas with the extra weight?

This boat gets extremely good gas. Can’t tell any difference. I changed the prop to mercury spitfire 4 blade prop when I did this so I couldn’t tell you how it affects speed. It will affect getting on plane. But with the 4 blade prop you actually get on plane faster. I can’t tell a difference In the performance of my boat.

@@belowaveragebassfisherman574 Thank you. I have the RT188P with a 6” jackplate. I just wasn’t sure how much it would affect speed or performance so I held off. I only get to 45-46mph now without them. But the 188P is designed for poles and that’s why I added the Jack plate. I’ve only seen a video of Mark Daniels Jr on here with the same boat. He’s running double poles but doesn’t mention anything about them or performance with them. Thanks again and God Bless!

@@kidiraq8381 the power poles are worth losing performance in my opinion. Not that I have even noticed. But it would be worth it. You won’t know how you ever fished without them once you put them on. I sat in the wind for an hour to catch a bed fish the other day. Also your decrease in performance will most likely be while trying to get on plane. The bracket and bottom of the pole will drag the water as your bow rises.

@@belowaveragebassfisherman574 I absolutely believe you. I went from a fiberglass bay boat skinny water sight fishing reds in FL to now fishing only for bass further up north. I love spot lock but am astounded by how much more even a light breeze blows me around in the Ranger! I’m constantly getting stuck in shallow water creeks/coves or dragging my trolling motor trying to fish for the shallow bass in some of these areas. Thank you again!

Did you get the mount from hydrilla gear?
