Humorous story. I had a retired detectives car. I was on my way home, saw a convenience store in a strip mall, decided to buy a soda. There was a song I want to hear the last of, so I pulled up and was listening to it. There was a car parked next to me ( in front of the liquor store) the driver saw a man wearing a white dress shirt sitting in a CV. he honked the horn two quick times, a guy waked out they left the parking lot quickly. The clerk walked out, saw the car, looked at it realized I was not the officer on duty, waved to me and went back in the store. I realized what had happened, and decided I did not need a soda anymore. I went home and never parked without making sure I was in a place where I would not be mistaken for an LEO again. The guy who came out of the store was carrying a handgun.
You do have to be aware of things and situations.
@@ProjectsandReviewsZone I became much more aware of what I looked like, and what it could mean every day. The guy could have pointed the gun at me. I was not situationally ready for that. I started being more aware of people and how they behaved. I also stopped going to strip mall convenience stores after dark, LOL
