Hi John,
The first thing to notice is that the owl is TOTALLY unimpressed. It's not scared in the least, and the raven has no aggrssive intentions, but starts out being just curious- like: "what the hell is This!" So it tests - tries to get a reaction. But the owl still stays totally nonchalent. At some point the raven then tries a different tactic- it puts on its "I'm a big guy" display of erect "ear" feathers- usually used to show status in the presence of potential superiors, but here used also with a bowing and wing-flaring,which is used in supplication if there is NOT going to be a challenge- so, yes, i think the raven was having fun, and then also starting to have some respect, because this big white thing was NOT going to cooperate and be its toy.

Exactly. This was a young raven. Young ravens are exploratory and curious - adult ravens are highly neophobic.

Compared to ravens yes owls would be stupid.. But I will still gladly think that the raven crow whatever was curious about the owl.... Owls as far as I know can be pretty vicious so I think really of ot wanted to the owl could easily go on the defensive and go for the throat.... As seen in human males as well just my opinion....

They are not 'playful', they love challenges of any kind and feel enjoyment while performing their own mischievous behavior, they are basically the trolls of the bird family, just like parrots. That's also why the Owl doesn't have any chance and looks kinda stupid in direct comparison and annoyed :D

While, I apologize that my preference of proper spelling came off standoffish. The first reference of what we know as christiananity is from the 1st century A.D. While, specifically Greek gods were referenced 700-600 B.C.
As well, the Egyptian gods were the ones that had anthropomorphized forms.

Fer Alejandrez some of the flexing towars the end , where you see it kind of rolling its shoulders, is a behaviour in birds that they do to raise their feathers up, basically making their hair stand on end but at will... its part of the cleaning and preening process as it makes it easier to shake out and get rid of any nasty dust or grime caught between all the fuzz. preening is a very natural and reassuring process for birds so if you see them puff up, it means theyre relaxing around you. the raven is likely trying to demonstrate that they just want to relax and be calm with the owl, by poofing up and displaying preening behaviours while the others still clearly snippy, he’s going out on a limb hoping the other will accept the offer of being less hostile and instead relaxing in eachothers company.
TLDR: when bird makes himself big poof fuzzy, bird wants to vibin and chill.

Second time seeing this pop up and it really is a treat to see the dynamic between these two animals. Both of them are aware that the owl can do much more damage than the raven, but the raven is cunning and tenacious enough to boldly straddle the line of conflict, whether out of territoriality or curiosity. The owl, seemingly so sure of its ability to dispatch its pest if need be, makes the absolute minimum effort to fend it off, even looking away to watch for food with the raven an inch from its face.
I could be way off the mark, of course, but it's still so great to watch them and study the interactions between these two very interesting animals.
Like an angel and a demon, he angel is keeping watch and the demon is trying to convince them to loosen up and watch him annoy people.
Demons are so much cooler than angels.
