    We are back with another walleye fishing video! In this video I am headed to the Great Lakes to target some big summer walleyes. I talk about the walleye migration which occurs on these systems throughout the year. I also find a pattern using a jig and crawler that produces a some big bites!

    The more I use and see mega live, the more I learn everyday! When I was a young kid with my dad- we would have never even stopped to walleye fish in that chocolate milk water but mega live not only showed fish but how high they were in the water column! That video was really awesome and a learning experience!!

    Agree it’s a simple method, and that livescope really shines and aids in the catch!! Cool video, learned a few things here!

    I think you guys are changing the game across the board. Your Live streams are awesome, but you really can't beat a classic Tom and daily challenge video. Huge fan. Have been since the spinner days. Keep killing it. Hope to meet you again.

    Great job Tom! I learn so much watching you fish the mega live. Looks to muddy to go troll right now but I’ll be putting some baits insanely high in the water column when I do.
    My daughter asked where’s Shelby and the dogs? Only reason she watches.

    Question for you guys. The walleye now app is a great tool for all anglers with the wide rage of informative videos to help in specific situations. I was wondering if there is the thought of being able to search for specific words within the app?? Just a search bar in the app to make searches like "weeds" or "spinner" and it pulls up all videos that you've posted on the walleye now app that have the words "weeds" or "spinner" in the video header. I think this would help to navigate the app while on the water for that spot on spot situation. Love the content!
    Thanks guys!

    Love watching the Warrior 2090 crush the waves. You need to switch to the FFS on the trolling motor. It will change your hunt for walleye gold.

    • @Jb-vc5fq
      @Jb-vc5fq 7 днів тому +1

      He is using spot lock to keep him in position and then using the mega live to target specific big fish. If his FFS was on his TM it would constantly be moving and be impossible to stay on a specific fish.

    • @philschmitt796
      @philschmitt796 7 днів тому

      @@Jb-vc5fq That is incorrect. Professional walleye anglers like John, Tom or Max catch bigger walleyes and use FFS on their Ultrex or Kraken. They hunt down active big tournament winning walleyes to cash checks. Spot locking and casting is so 2020.

    Are you always able to get that close without spooking them? It looks like you are casting about 30 Feet. Seems like that could be difficult on the Great Lakes

    • @chriscrashfpv
      @chriscrashfpv 8 днів тому

      Could work but like Tom said, a slower presentation makes it easier for the fish to hone in on and track.

    What do you suggest for a guy with a Walmart Garmin fish finder in a John boat on a reservoir. There’s walleye in there but I’m not hooking any. Tried purple hair jigs, slip bobbers drop shot leeches jerk minnows swim bait. I’m losing hope 😂

    • @chriscrashfpv
      @chriscrashfpv 8 днів тому +2

      I'd recommend trolling worm harnesses or cranks. Just to cover water and once you identify the spots that hold fish, all of the presentations you named should start to work after you find fish.
      Good luck!

    • @blackdiesel4407
      @blackdiesel4407 8 днів тому

      @@chriscrashfpv thanks, I’ll try it, the only apprehension I have with that is the reservoir is over run with yellow bass and anything shiny traveling through the water gets snatched by one of those little buggers. I did buy the search bait rig and a purple trolling jig. I’ll see if I can get it to work.

    When fishing dirty water would a vibrating lure or rattle ball be helpful?

    • @chriscrashfpv
      @chriscrashfpv 8 днів тому

      Possibly. But those lures are too heavy and fast for fish to track in such dirty water. The live bait scent wins as an attractant because it can be fished much slower making it easier for fish to track

    The FFS is such an amazing tool to learn about fish behaviour. Unfortunately it’s very unlikely I’ll be getting any of the current systems. It’s just not in my fishing budget. Consequently your videos are becoming less and less relevant to me. I still find them entertaining for the most part but I don’t look forward to them like a I used to. I’ve literally watched all of your videos. Been watching for years and even went back and watched the previous ones too. Not a criticism just sayin’.
