In this format I'll show you How to build a portative Pipe Organ, homemade, in medieval style.
In this video #32 we will see the completion of the Bellows. SUB ITA
These building videos will be released every month
The journey begins! this fine woodworking process it will take a long time to complete. I hope you enjoy this series of videos.
After my homemade pipe organ, thisi is my second organ project.
I remind that I'm not a professional organ builder, but only an enthusiast.
these videos are not real tutorials, but entertainment. however, from these you can understand how to build it too.
When using any kind of tools and machinery, I strongly recommend you always have to refer precisely to the manufacturer's guidelines & safety manual.
I will watch twice maybe three times, finally completion of the bellows
Yes, finally!
Can't wait to hear the first notes!!
Yes!
**EXCELLENT!!** 😃👍
Thanks!
Wow, super!
Thanks!
Thank you.
Thanks to you!
Bellows are fun to be seen being built.
Thanks Keshav, it's also fun to build it!
I admire your patience! - and skill
Thanks!
finally the bellows is ready! next time we'll hear some notes!
Congrats!
@@BaruJanu Thanks!
Very excited!
Also, those corner pieces look like a huge pain to put on, even if you say they aren’t :)
@@MegaCadr Yes, it's not so easy..
👌🌹👏🙏❤️
Fine video. I would like to hear what type of glue you applied.
Thanks, in italian "Colla Garavella forte" or strong hot hide glue.
I guess it's bone-glue that hardens by cooling down and drying out. A reversible process, glue is not water resistant. I applied is for the 66 small bellows of my pianola (player piano). Ciao!
Very nice!
Thanks JGB!
Obrigado
Very good
Thank You!
Finally found some time to see this long vid - what a great piece of work.
Understatement of the month: 20:41 "not very easy": LOL
And tonight I'll eat mushrooms (cf 24:22)
Ahah! Thanks, yes mushrooms are good :D
@@nippocast Anyone who thinks a video of less than 30 mins is a 'long video' will never have the patience to build a portative organ - as you know.
Ótimo trabalho.
Gracias!
Great work. Looking forward to hearing you play the organ.
Is hot glue especially suitable for textiles in the organ?
Thanks! it is particularly suitable where there is a need for reversibility with heat, moreover traditionally it has always been used.
Hello, how are you? Are you well? You don't made it from bogining, you bigin with some parts alread made, how can I learn?
I make other three videos about the topic, the #28, 29 and 30. Check in the channel
👍👍👍
Very nice job. Which glue did you use? I want to repair some indian harmonium bellows.
Thank You peter. It's animal hot hide glue.
Hello Mrs. Nippocast! 👋🏻
Mrs? Ah! ok I get it
@@nippocast When she entered about 4:35. :-D
@@Mikethealtarboy she says hello too
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Hello, what glue did you use?
Hot hide glue
what kind of glue are you using?
Hi, Hot hide glue
Do all pipe organs have a string or spring attached to the bellow? if there are non, and there is no heavy weights on the Bellow, will it give issues ? Reason being is that when i strike a chord and in a few secs it goes softer or dim ! First chord is loud, rich and firm, in a few seconds it looses key slightly and goes softer. Please advise.
If you mean the bellows of the fixed pipe organs then yes, they all have either a spring or a weight to reach the desired pressure, plus a valve to keep the pressure constant. As far as the portative organ are concerned, like this in the video, everything is different, there is nothing on the bellows, it is only the strength of the musician to create the right pressure.
Are the corner gussets 160mm or 200mm long? I have completed everything but the bellows.
Thank you.
Hi, they are 160mm
@@nippocast I think you are wrong. I think they are 200mm
where do you buy glue and leather for building bellows???
From amazon and Weiblen, organ parts supplier.
what type of glue here used? Can fevicol wood resin glue will work? or fevicol synthetic glue?
I used hot animal glue.
the glue you say is fine as long as it does not dirty the parts of the leather not to be glued, otherwise it stiffens.
Ciao ...
where you buy the leather ?
weiblen.de but they do not sell to individuals
where do you find the wood of the folds of the bellows?
Hi, I have a trusted carpenter who supplies me with various types of woods
what type of leather is it? or rexin?
Hi, lambskin
@@nippocast Hello! This is a wonderful project - thanks for sharing. Out of interest, did you try working with synthetic leathers? Am wondering if I can make bellows with a synthetic substitute for lambskin or if I should give up looking for such a thing. Any tips gratefully recieved!
Great job👍
Have you tried a roller cutter for fabrics?
You tend to get less bunching at the cut.
Olfa make excellent blades for them
Ok, good idea
