Universal Logo - Element 3D

I decided to take a stab at re-creating the Universal Studios logo, using a combination of Cinema 4D for the construction of the logo, and then Video Copilot's amazing Element 3D plugin to composite and render all of the elements together in After Effects. I'm not going for super accuracy here, obviously some parts do not match up with the original logo stylistically or spatially, but this was more so a fun project to see what I could do with Element 3D. I don't own the rights to the music, and this video will not be used for resale or commercial purposes.

I initially created the text in Cinema 4D, applied a bend deformer to it, then imported it into Element 3D

I was going to say not bad until i saw this reply from you. You actually think this is worth money? This has been done much.. much better. And good luck selling something that so closely resembles the universal logo they could easily make a case for copyright infringement.

I'm not claiming that this hasn't been done better before, but I run a studio and don't give out freebies. I've worked pro bono for many years and ya know what? I'm done doing that. You got a problem with that? I could care less. You want to spend all your time giving away free templates and scene files? Be my guest. Not my thing, and you're not ever gonna convince me that it should be.

Obviously you do care since you replied lawl. But I work pro bono all the time. If it is some stupid side project for fun, like this video then sure. I'd give it out for free. Or when I work with a humanitarian organization. But obviously i have my customers, and they are the ones that I charge. I don't just scrape together something in a day for fun, post it on the net and if someone wants it. I don't say "Pay me!" And I'm not trying to convince you to give this out for free... it's shitty.
