thank you so much for this, would you mind doing a wheelchair in the park for tokyo Disney/seas? We are going next year and plan to rent a wheelchair because I'm unable to walk for long hours, and I'm worried about the size.... (I'm Poohbear sized with wide hips lol 😂)
I am so, so sorry that this happened to you, and I am also so grateful to you for showing us this experience. My spouse is a wheelchair user and we talk all the time about wanting to do a China/Japan theme park trip, but there is so little information about accessibility. We were so excited to see this video that my partner cried! Wishing you happy healing and thank you so, so, so much!
I'm sorry about the accident, that's terrifying regardless of severity. I really appreciate the continued positive energy and information in these videos (they've really helped me through the worst times of my life), I hope you have a quick recovery and stay safe.
When my dad was using a wheelchair we never knew what to expect if we were traveling. I think this content is so important. No one knows when we may be in need of assistance and accommodation. Thank you for sharing!!
It's bedtime now so I'll watch the video tomorrow, BUT I just wanted to leave a quick comment. I'm physically disabled and use a wheelchair, so seeing this video pop up in my subscriptions made me so happy!
My brother has been in a wheelchair his whole life, so we’ve always had to consider accessibility. When he was little, my parents could lift him in and out of ride vehicles but now that he’s a fully grown adult, and he can’t bear any weight, he’s not able to transfer from his wheelchair so I love seeing that Mystic Manor has a wheelchair accessible vehicle in a separate loading area. It seems like such a small thing, but it is amazing to be able to take the time you need and not have to transfer out of your chair!
It's not nice that you had an accident, but it give you a reason to make this video. I'm not in a wheelchair but I can't walk stairs or for longer time. It's's great to see that you can joy the rides with lesser mobility. Take care Chris.❣️
what a great way to turn a not so great time into something positive/educational! I wish you a speedy recovery and thank you for this video! I have some health issues and can't walk for very long so this was super helpful to me!
It just amazes me that the front of the fire department looks like the one at Disneyland. Thank you for being so positive using an unfortunate experience to make something joyful and educational, I’m glad you’re doing ok!
The two videos on wheelchair accessibility in Tokyo and Hong Kong are incredibly helpful. As a wheelchair user and park lover, it's difficult to find videos that showcase things from my lowered point of view and discuss different floor surfaces! I previously did some research into the disability access services available at both parks, but I wanted to learn more about general access, including restaurants and entertainment options. So, thank you for sharing these videos! Wishing you a speedy recovery. 😊
I love it😅❤️... All banged up and still Disney-going 💪... Rain or shine... Don't let anything hold you back Chris... Your positive spirit is that golden ticket💫✨
I was so worried when I saw you had a brace and cane in the Donkey Kong preview video! Glad you're getting better. This was a great opportunity to provide your experience to folks who are marginalized at theme parks! Edit: OMG KRISTOFF AND ANNA
Hoping for your speedy recovery! This is a really great insight since not a lot of people online show the accessibility of theme parks and this would be really useful for someone in a wheelchair or something similar. Let’s us see a different experience of the parks and how it’s important that we make it accessible so that they can enjoy it too. Keep it up! ❤ Also side note: I’m so happy they’re finally selling Albert the Monkey merch! For years, there’s hardly anything sold for him and I was so sad so thank goodness he’s finally getting more love!
Oh my gosh, that's terrifying, I'm glad you're OK! I hope you recover swiftly and smoothly! Feel better soon! I appreciate you still giving us this wonderful content!
I love the insights with using a wheelchair sux it happened but this is very good to see the disability access for those who need it ❤ hope you are feeling better and healing
It's very unfortunate that you got into an accident but thank you for not giving up on creating amazing content. This is one is truly helpful for a lot of disabled people who wish to visit theme parks. I hope you create more of this type of content even after you've recovered.
Happy to see you staying positive ❤ Way to keep making content and enjoy the parks again ❤ Missed your happy squeaks and giggles 6:54 hi cameraman! *waves back* thank you for all your camera work and taking care of Chris while he yells at the cute merch 😂
Hey Chris! I’m so sorry to hear about your accident and I hope recovery is going well! As a disabled subscriber who relies on mobility aids, this video is great to see. I wanted to note that the phrase “wheelchair-bound” is, unfortunately, ableist. “Wheelchair users” is a great substitute!
You said “there’s a typhoon coming” so casually. Like “I have to pick up eggs after work” 😂😂 I hope you get better soon Chris! Thanks for showing how to navigate the park using a different perspective.
This brings back memories of taking my late mum to HK. She used a wheelchair there and the CMs were so good, nothing was too much for them. very easy to get around. I hope you’re on the mend
Talk about making Lemonade out of Lemons. I hate that you had an accident, but this is a video you might have had a hard time providing for others, otherwise.
I love you for making this! I never did anything fun when my illness caused me to need a wheelchair (out of fear) so it's lovely to still see you have all the fun in the world 💜 I hope you recover soon!
Hope that you fully recover soon, so sorry to hear about everything and all the bad times. Good to see you back know the parks and making videos again!
Let me just say, I was in Tokyo sea this summer and I have an invisible illness and it was basically impossible to get DAS before hand of my trip or at the parks and I paid for rides bcs I couldn’t wait. I’d like to see the Japanese acsesibility better like this but I do understand Japanese customs and building are and manners are very traditional and different and no English. Thanks for this video I wanna go to HKD
Rough terrain for sure! I'm hoping for Hong Kong/tokyo in april so happy to be reviewing your vlogs. Glad you are feeling better, but do take time to rest -- only way to heal. ⭐⭐🙏🏻🙏🏻
I so sorry that you got hurt! Sending the biggest hugs and healing vibes your way! Me and my mom watch your videos all the time and love your content! Thank you for all of the videos that you share in Disney because I haven’t been able to go there yet and would love to go!
I hope you get better soon! It's awesome that you were able to use this as an opportunity to show us how wheelchair accessible Disneyland is though. I don't think it ever crossed my mind to ask but it was definitely an interesting answer to watch. I didn't know wheelechair rides are a thing but it's awesome they have it. And the shows have subtitles? haha that's awesome. It probably feels weird to be seeing things at a different angle when you're sitting down as you travel around since you've been there so much though.
I knew it was you that day in front of the locker room after momentous. I've been a fan of your channel for years. I wanted to go say hi, but I didn't want to impose. Thank you for all the valuable tips!
Hey there so sorry to hear about your accident hope you’re doing well and get better soon looking forward to seeing more of your amazing videos on your UA-cam channel 👍❤️
Obviously sucks about the car accident but as a wheelchair user while my experience might be different due to the kind of wheelchair I have, it is really nice to see the accessibility of fun places shown more! I want to travel but the world just isn't built to be accessible most of the time so knowing what to expect and seeing good things too helps me plan what I might want to do and where I might want to visit!
I'm soo sorry you were in a accident. Glad u are feeling better n still able to do ur favorite thing- going to disney 😊❤ Also thank you to your camera guy for helping you oxox
Thank you very much for providing this video TDR. I hope you get better soon. I also suffer from a mobility disability and use a wheelchair quite often, so this video is very helpful. By chance could you also do one for Univsersal Studios? Im going there for the first time in January. Thank you!
Glad you’re recovering well, Chris! This video was so helpful tho since I’m visiting HKDL next week and will have to rent a wheelchair since I’m on my 3rd trimester of pregnancy 🥰
Welcome to HK Chris. I'm happy you had an okay time, but also a little surprised because accessibility here is usually pretty doo-doo. Also you're going to have to embrace the heat and moisture it never gets better.
I actually spent time in a first aid wheelchair at DCA. It was fascinating. Fyi. I tripped over and aggravated my dodgy ankle. We went to first aid. The nurse said I needed to stay off it to help the swelling ease and due to being an international guest she knew our time was limited so they gave me a free wheelchair for the day that gave me access to the exit. Seeing how it all worked was really interesting. Also I could hear kid’s conversations which was adorable Fun fact!! Midway mania has the same ride vehicle as mystic manor. It’s so interesting to see how they accomodate wheelchairs ❤ Sorry for all the edits. I keep remembering things 😂 I had wheelchair access for world of color. Fantastic view 😊 the only drawback is the fact you’re in pain so you get worn down very quickly. So if you’re injured and visit a park just be aware that you don’t have the same staying power so make sure you have paracetamol to take the edge off. The cast members at Disneyland and DCA were very gentle and kind and I’m glad you had the same experience as me
❤❤❤wow finally. I have been watching you since the pandemic era. Finally you have made a video about wheelchair accessibility in disneyland. I have been in hk disney last 2018 and being a paraphlegic, hk disney has been superb in wheelchair ride access. Last 2016 we went to disneysea and the only ride i was able to go to was the defunct stormrider and all the other rides i was not permitted to ride although i can transfer by myself but not walk, dont know if language barrier was also a problem. Can you somehow do a wheelchair ride accessibility in tokyo disney and disneysea just wanna know if it has been better since 2016. Thank you and love lots
Hope you get well soon! We were there 2 days before the typhoon and happens to see the staffs testing the wheelchair seats at the Mystic Manor. I'm wondering how it looks like and now I do!
This was a fab video and tho I don't have disability gave me a good idea of HK Disneyland. I'm hoping to come in January as have a day spare after finishing a cruise. Is there any hints and tips you can give me I'm trying to research how to get there from my hotel and tickets but things are a bit confusing. It looks amazing tho!
Thank you for all the kind words, Explorers. They mean a lot to me! I hope this video is useful in showing how to navigate Hong Kong Disneyland.
thank you so much for this, would you mind doing a wheelchair in the park for tokyo Disney/seas? We are going next year and plan to rent a wheelchair because I'm unable to walk for long hours, and I'm worried about the size.... (I'm Poohbear sized with wide hips lol 😂)
Hey there, when did you visit Hong Kong Disneyland? You weren’t able to watch the Let’s Get Wicked show?

Even a minor car accident is terrifying to go through and I hope you recover swiftly!

Not long back from HK Disney and it was fantastic. Really surprised. Will try toyko next Halloween :) 😊
You don’t think about cobblestone pavement until you are in a wheelchair or scooter. 😂🥴
That was my thought, too.😊
I love Xmas time

Hope you get better soon
I had to go to WDW last February, 2 days after breaking my foot, so I can especially relate to this video.
Great park day as usual! Hope you didn't get a contentID for the magnificent 7 theme 😆
Hope you’re doing ok, Chris! ❤️🩹
I'm sorry about your accident, very scary! Hope you recover well and quickly. I do have a question, where did you get your Mickey clip on earrings?
