Tiana in Mickey & the Wondrous Book is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! Her segment is my favorite in the show. Thank you for the great video! It's bringing back so many memories
Hong Kong Disneyland is one of the most underrated parks in the Disney Parks lineup. Although it still only has one park, and they couldn’t even expand their second gate because of the quarantine facilities; they still have managed to improve their rides, activities and shows to keep the park alive. World of Frozen is still a big hit, and Momentous is just outstanding and phenomenal. Besides, they have the one and only Mystic Manor, which is one of the top Disney dark rides! As always, what a great vlog of showing Hong Kong Disneyland’s glory✨✨ Great job Chris!
I think they made it into quarantine site because Dinsey did not purchase the land by the deadline, not the other way around. The HK gov reserved the land for Disney to purchase at $2.6 Billion (might have increased due to inflation) for 20 years since 1999, but because of the park's low attendance, Disney didn't feel like it was a worthy investment and did not get the land when the time come. So by 2020 when the offer expired, it was used for quarantine just because it was a huge empty land (extremely rare in HK). But these quarantine sites really are just glorified sheds that could be taken down easily in a week, and I think the fact that the HK gov did not turn the land into anything more substantial even after the deadline has passed shows their willingness to work with Disney still. So if Disney wants to build a second gate there, I don't think they would run into any problem (so fingers crossed!)
@@MaHelena The Hong Kong government has a greater power to make decisions that would impact the park’s future. For what I know now, the government doesn’t seem to care about the land anymore, and they are giving more effort on political and economic matters. They just put those facilities there, and they said that they may use them if a pandemic strikes the city again. I don’t know why they do that, but I definitely think that giving the land back to Disney is better than using it for the quarantine facilities.
I was feeling a little low after hearing some sad news - this was just the thing to lift my spirits. Thank you for sharing these wonderful memories. I’m totally digging the uplifting Christmas entertainment in front of the castle!
I need to go to this park and Tokyo and will then have visited all the Disney parks in the world - can't wait to visit someday soon! The prices of food and snacks there is a bit eye opening!
Very excited to watch your vlogs about Hong Kong as I am taking my daughter to visit her first Disney park and thought HKDL was the perfect place to start! I visited HKDL back when it was very new in January 2008 so I’m super excited to be seeing it again and experience the wonderful expansions to lands and rides they’ve made since then!
Imaginerreing went with the Anaheim plan, instead of the world Plan. the castle received a major update during COVID., and became the "Princess Castle" before it looked like Anaheims.
Most things are Hong Kong Disneyland are in English to a certain degree. Hong Kong is the most accessible Disney Resort in Asia for English speakers in my opinion. I loved the sweet potato ice cream, I want more! Thank you for watching
Hi Chris, I think you just accidentally called Stella Lou as Lina Bell in some of the merch? Anyway, I'm coming to Hong Kong in May this year because of the World of Frozen. Been binge watching your disney vlog ever since. All of the information I'm looking for are available in most of your vlog videos. Love your walk through and I'm so excited about my time in HK Disneyland this time since my last visit in 2017. Aside from the World of Frozen, I'm also looking forward to see the new Disney castle. Hopefully during my visit, the park is not full with people so I can really enjoy my time there. Keep up the good work Chris. I always looking forward to your other vlogs for sure.
I just wanted to tell you that you have such cozy vibes and I really enjoy your videos! Idk why but watching your videos at the end of the day make me comfy ❤
@@BondforgedSky Just like “It’s Wondrous” was written for California Disneyland and “Brand New Day” was written for Tokyo Disneyland’s 35th anniversary, “Happily Ever After” was written for Hong Kong Disneyland’s 10th anniversary back in 2015. I can see why Florida would use it though since it’s so good.
As a fellow Canadian, just wanted to drop by and say Hi and thank you for sharing all your theme park adventures. We love all the food and merch that you shared. Also, we were just at the HK disney 2 weeks ago. We saw almost everything except the Mickey Wondrous Book was closed. Guess it closes during the slower times right after Chinese New Year.
I have that Monsters Inc wreath got it on clearance at Character Warehouse here in Florida for like $20 - I use it twice once at Halloween and then at Christmas
I watched the whole video with a friend on video call just a couple days ago, and I noticed you were at the parks November 17th -- I was on vacation in HK 27th-29th! I missed you by, like, 10ish days. But man, it would've been so cool to have met you at the park
I'm going to visit around the same time in November this year. But isn't there a Lion King performance in November, the early days of preparing for Christmas?
Thank you for watching! Yeah, Duffy and Friends are at Hong Kong Disneyland and Shanghai Disneyland! The merchandise is different from Tokyo DisneySea.
@@tdrexplorer TDR to me still reigns on top imho. but thank you for the content now i know what to expect if i make a detour to the hong kong and shanghai parks

Yes, that’s another good one. Plus, you get the cute costume Disney bounding full effect. ;)
I still can’t believe how quickly they added height to the castle and have put so many new rides into the park.
I live in Hong Kong and literally I love HK Disneyland like this is so beautiful and magical
I love what they did with the Castle, it's so unique. I did a video a while back showing the castle in detail. ua-cam.com/video/Xd8dB-h91Lc/v-deo.html

These uplifting holiday sights were just the thing my dreary, rainy March day needed to make everything feel better and bright!

One of my favorite Memories of Hong Kong Disneyland was the "festival of Lion King" show. That was in 2011.
That's a fantastic show. I saw it on one of the days I wasn't filming this trip. Always a must.
Went there with my mum for a full day back when we were in Hong Kong in November
A super fun and nostagic trip, and I had a great time!

Stella Lou! 🐰 Put some respect on her name 😂 It’s all good I know it was just a slip of the tongue, thank you for showing us. 💖
Either I never notice but I love that you put the temp & date on the top right of the video for a sec, thank you for doing that.
Was not expecting to hear the theme from Happily Ever After in that Mickey show
Happily Ever After first appeared in this show in 2015 before it was at the Magic Kingdom! Fun little fact. The song is so good.

I went to HK Disneyland before COVID and loved it. I still think about the dried squid and bottled watermelon juice from the snack stands.
The watermelon juice is heavenly. I got some at the hotel.
I’m gonna go there on my birthday! 🥳 🎉
I have been to Hong Kong Disneyland before with my children
christmas time already is crazy like whattt easter hasn’t even passed
I love the Christmas decorations so cute !!!

I believe the stitch card holder you showed before the snow globe, the front "present" area is probably for airpods :P or honestly anything
i live in orlando and yes ive seen alot of those ornaments here at wdw.

You keep calling StellaLou as Linabell 😅 but I love all those merchs, so adorable.
Can I just ask.. do you get splashed on the Forever after ride? Not sure if I wanna explore Disneyland with wet shoes >
I’ve seen a lot of the same ornaments in California Adventure at the World of Color store!
Nice! Thank you
For HK Disneyland, do we need to download any apps to navigate around the park like the one in Tokyo?
no~ it’s relatively small i believe, summary is a bit too hot, better come in Autumn
The music for the magical book show is similar to the happily ever after fireworks show. Was it always like that? And WDW copied it?
you said it was 73 degrees in November (when you were filming) is that because China´s summer our Winter? (on the east cost USA)
I’m thinking of going in December. How busy is it compared to Tokyo’s Disney parks?
Hong Kong is almost always more quiet than Tokyo. So you should be fine.
Is everything in English at HK Disney? I know in Japan it’s all in Japanese
Hong Kong is my FaceTime live
Will you go to Disneyland in California again?
Yep!
@@tdrexplorer ok, just wondering there’s a new big hero six section at DCA just wanted to let you know

HKD100 = USD12 as of Q1 of 2024
How is it christmas already?!
Shanghai disneyland please

It says in the video this video was filmed in last November
$70HKD is about $10 USD

the food is shockingly expensive for being an asian disney park. quite interesting. will keep that in mind.
