Unbelievable Talent and Beautiful beyond belief, she is sadly missed and she reminds me of memories of my childhood in the 70’s , I loved her and her Music 😊
Tiny Lynsey walked tall in the aggressive showbiz world, did it all herself, no publicity, no scandals, never bothered anybody just got on with the job.
@@adambrocklehurst4211 When she had her first hit record it just plonked itself in the charts few people knew anything about her. Nobody gave her an 'image' she just turned up in her own clothes.
@@Efferpheasants part of any performers art is promotion, she had a lucky break at the beginning, but you need to keep the momentum going, and I bet she worked really hard at it. This is true for any artist.
Beautiful women, great song....and a great tv series....No, Honestly ! CD (John Alderton) and Clara (Pauline Collins) still together after 50 years of marriage
Great live performance with orchestra. Not sure who the conductor is but looks like Harry Stoneham on organ / keyboards. Reached No.7 in the charts at the end of '74.

I wonder who the 5 *ossers were who disliked this? I mean how can you dislike something as good as this - a fantastic live performance and great music - unlike the trash we hear today.
she had written quite a few hits under her birth name before she stepped into the spotlight - but yeah it does sound less glamorous. Then again so does Reg Dwight
Possibly not. The 1970s was a strange place and nothing much stranger than the power of the unions. The Musicians Union, for example, decreed (certainly on the BBC) that acts had to especially record a version of their song for the show they were appearing on so they could then mime to it. Whether this spread to ITV (for this is almost certainly from a Thames or LWT variety show) is another thing.
Yellow Belly has a point vis-a-vis union rules, but I tend to agree with the Roscoe. Miming musicians rarely read the sheet music quite as intensely as this crew of bow-tied gentlemen. The fill-tastic drummer in particular is almost certainly sight-reading.
Lynsey had beauty, talent in the bucket loads and had a kind, caring nature. she is so missed
Lovely lady.god bless.xxxx

She feclched my dad in the back of a taxi once.

What's with the thunderbird puppet at the start in the blue frilly shirt.
Brains...F.A.B. !
Nice one again Roscoe!
How far would she have gotten if she'd used her birth name Lynsey Monckton Rubin?
she had written quite a few hits under her birth name before she stepped into the spotlight - but yeah it does sound less glamorous. Then again so does Reg Dwight
Haha, yes Reg Dwight 😂
@@lavieenrose5954 and the late Michael Groucutt
Further than you ever would with your stupid comment! It’s her talent that matters.
How is Lynsey Rubin _less_ glamorous?
That's not live!
oh yes it is

Thought she was great then but watching her on here now what a sweetheart and what a great voice
