Because they’ve already had terrible experiences with hosting Palestinian refugees in the past. Whatever terrorist group that was in charge of Palestine at the time would use the refugee camps in the neighbouring countries as bases to launch attacks against Israel. Logically, those host countries said never again. Lebanon still hasn’t rid itself completely of the Palestinians in Hezbollah, which is backing HAMAS.

There are tens of thousands of Palestinian refugees in all the neighboring Arab countries. Look it up. A simple Google search. You need to do some reading and not just watch the "media'. I don't think Hamas is removed from the "reality" above ground or the suffering of their people. They see themselves as Gazans, not just militants or "terrorists" as much of the world sees.
Likewise, lots of Gazan civilians hold the same beliefs and goals of Hamas.

Gazans should have evaluated the consequences of 10/7 before embarking on disastrous adventure.
Peace will come when hostages are released and not before. War is always destructive and unpleasant. Gazans supported the war and destruction and chaos is inevitable even if you win.

The settlers bought the land as individuals, chief. The state of Israel was formed after a civil war which the Arab civilians could have won. But they left because all the surrounding Arab countries told them to leave and return after the Jews were wiped out. Too bad that didn't work out for them.

I think what Hamas did was absolutely horrific but I’ve been following this for 20+ years and I’ll be honest with you every time I hear about anything it’s always about Israel bombing Gaza. The problem is this is what created hamas, because they were sick of seeing their families being killed so they became extremist and my worry is that this is just going to turn more people into hamas. Many jewish people do not agree at all with what Netanyahu is doing, and I have talked to many and they even admit that they feel like Israel has always wanted the land . I just don’t agree with making it seem like Israel is always the victim because they have had control over Gaza for years. Israel, is in control of water, electricity what food and supplies come in and out of Gaza and every person in Gaza to go through a checkpoint and get permission to leave Gaza . Israel has had complete and total control. I’m not saying that Hamas isn’t dangerous but there’s a way bigger backstory to this that a lot of people seem to forget. It is an absolute apartheid.
