His parents Jon Palin and Rachel Goldberg, Americans who moved to Israel more than a decade ago, sat down with NewsNation’s Chris Cuomo on Thursday and described their pain since the couple’s only son went missing.

I have a son. My only son. As a mother, I cannot imagine a world without my son, my precious child. It pains me to see these parents agony and pain.
We are not human to them and there is always a justification for killing us. It says more about the world then on us.
I have been looking for information and any updates about this family everywhere lately. My heart is with them and Hersh and I'm always praying. I am an American and visited Israel a few months before this tragedy. I will always stand with Israel and will never forget this family. Sending so much love and nonstop prayers.

This story of Hersh hit me the most. I can't imagine what he went through and I can't imagine the parent's pain. I would be crying my eyes out if this was my child. Praying for him.

Why do people always have to mention they’re ex Muslim. Why is that part of your introduction and what does not being Myslim anymore have to do with your sympathy for a mother who is grieving? When someone leaves christianity or Judaism or any other religion do you hear them saying I am ex this and ex that? Even if they do, that makes no sense because presumably you left something because you don’t believe in it and want nothing to do with it so why do you have to out it in your identity when you introduce or present yourself to the world? Again, you only see this with Islam. Which really makes me doubt the credibility of people who say they’re an “ex Muslim”

Hersh looks small built and delicate , like his mother. How would he survive, with his arm blown off by a grenade... must have needed expert medical attention immediately. Did he get it ? It is a nagging and worrying thought.

It's a sad situation and I really empathize with the family, but this doesn't justify the atrocious genocide going on in Gaza. Killing 14000 infants to get 240 hostages? This is really messed up.

I pray for the return of your son deeply .. one correction to the statement that the aid worker got hit by mistake, or it was an accident…it was disclosed that the convoy route was communicated to the IDF, the véhicule had logos from top to side for drones to see it. The crew was authorized to go through the road , that road was cleared by the IDF for them to drive through it. May all rest in peace
