Its honestly interesting how much they differ despite being super soldiers. Cap got to choose to become a super soldier, as far as I am aware he was never forced to undergo the treatment, he could have said no. He also rarely goes stealthy and tends to be on the front lines, fighting in public for all to see. Snake didn't get a choice, he was created specifically to be a clone, he was destined to be a super soldier. He also rarely fights out in the open, typically going more stealthy and is rarely in the public eye. Cap is original as far as he was the first Captain America, first Steve Rogers, first success with the Super Soldier Serum (as far as I am aware) and he typically has others following his legacy like Bucky and Falcon. Snake is quite literally a clone of Big Boss, and not even the only one, he doesn't make the legacy, he follows it even if he doesn't want to. Cap is a team player, always being on the Avengers in some way and fighting alongside other heroes regularly. Snake works mostly alone, never really has someone going along with him in the field and when he does, its fleeting. Cap is a man out of time, as he was frozen and thus the world passed him by until he was unthawed. Snake grew with the times, always being active until his final mission. Cap is typically shown to not be capable of aging. Snake has accelerated aging. Cap has perfect genes, at least for the Super Soldier as he was the only success. Snake has inferior genes to the point where again, he starts to rapidly age after a while. They have some similarities, but also a lot of differences that really make me want to see a full fledged crossover between the two. Its similar to Goku and Superman, so similar and yet so different that it'd be great to see how they interact with each other, provided the writing was on par to have both characters be accurate to how they should be portrayed.
wouldn't really say that snake grew with the times due to rapid aging thus considering him a man out of time, but it does still differ from how cap literally skipped 70 years both are men out of time, for their different reasons albeit
I remember the moment when Cap infiltrated the tanker in the beginning of the movie and when he got ambush by Hydra agents in the elevator.. I was thinking... Hey, this feels like a Metal Gear Solid movie so far. haha because the same thing happened to Snake. I like how the Secretary was the bad guy just like in the game.... also how the hela carriers were able to strike anyone on the planet sorta like Metal Gear Rex except with nukes. It all comes full circle I guess.. Snake Pliskin was inspired by Nick Fury comics as Solid Snake was inspired by Snake Pliskin.
Also Snake, Liquid and Big Boss'es relationship resemblea the one if Thor, Loki and Odin Odin and Big Boss even have an eyepatch on the same eye Thor and Loki hate each other, mostly Loki though Solid and Liquid hate each other, mostly Liquid though One of the brothers have long blonde hair, while the other has short black hair that eventually grows longer as their franchise goes Just sayin
How dare you not heed the words of Solid Snake: War... has changed. On a lighter note, it's funny to think of Captain America sitting down to play a Metal Gear Solid game.
What if Big Boss or Solid Snake was somehow in the MCU? They could definitely have him active during the time Cap was a Capsicle, the time periods fit perfectly.
I have an... extended universe where Cap’s commandoes and the Boss’s Cobra Unit fought together, HYDRA and the Patriots are locked in a bitter behind-the-curtain battle, the original Winter Soldier (before Barnes was activated) was Alex Mason who also filled for Cap in between him and Snake, Viktor Reznov is related to The Sorrow, Project Insight was a HYDRA response to the Patriots’ SSS/Big Shell, and Civil War, Cordis Die, and Guns of the Patriots all happen at the same time.
You should still make one, your channel is gaining popularity and you have a good understanding of the characters you cover. And I've really enjoyed your power scaling and character analysis videos.
Good topic but all I can think of is how I still find cap the most boring Avenger and Snake, both Solid but mostly Big Boss to be amazing and wonderful to follow.
The more you talked, the less they are alike. The video should've been a comparison between Cap and The Boss. You know, the true patriot of the MGS series?
It forgot to mention how Snake and Frank jaeger were best buds until frank died and comes back as a cyborg
Eh, they were still best buds.
Its honestly interesting how much they differ despite being super soldiers.

Also, Cap’s styles while fighting himself in Endgame reminded me heavily of Snake vs Ocelot in MGS4.
Little bit of CQC

Hela Carriers...I know you meant Helicarrier, but now I'm picturing Hela using them as chariots
Those helicarriers are basically Arsenal gear
Also Snake, Liquid and Big Boss'es relationship resemblea the one if Thor, Loki and Odin
Odin and Big Boss even have an eyepatch on the same eye
Thor and Loki hate each other, mostly Loki though

Just sayin
I forgot that time when Thor attempted to kill Odin
Where does Solidus Snake fit into that analogy? Like, he and Hela were both the long-lost siblings the others didn't know about until it was too late?
How dare you not heed the words of Solid Snake: War... has changed.
On a lighter note, it's funny to think of Captain America sitting down to play a Metal Gear Solid game.
I've said before that Big Boss is basically anime Nick Fury.
Did you seriously use the infamous panel of Cap saying "Hail Hydra" for this video?
...You are a very brave man, good sir.
What if Big Boss or Solid Snake was somehow in the MCU? They could definitely have him active during the time Cap was a Capsicle, the time periods fit perfectly.
it would fit nice but most of the games take place before the current mcu timeline
but I mean that doesn't matter too much

Tbh I was expecting the scientist in winter soldier to start saying scissors 61

Second
Solid Snake and or Big Boss are more badass than Captain America. Facts
Cap is worthy of Mjolnir.
jp3813 So’s Solid, then.
