    I haven’t ever done sourdough because of the thought of being tied to so many strict rules. By watching my first Fermenting February, I have gained so much confidence and knowledge to give SD a try. I’m on day 6. Thanks to everyone!

    You can also use that sour dough as a breading for something like Chicken Nuggets, or Fish and it makes the best Corn Fritters and Hush Puppies I've ever had. Just saying.

      I am thinking there is no recipe…you just dip the chicken in the runny batter. It should work great. I have done this with a pancake mix that you just make a little runny and it works great. I will try this with fried pickles and let you all know how it turns out with the sourdough discard.

    These recipes all look like they're worth trying. Sometimes it's hard to know what to do with sourdough discards. It's been a wonderful month full of great ideas and fantastic people, some new and some old friends. I'm putting together a fermenting notebook to help keep it all in one place.     Thanks for the video and the collaboration. It has been great! Now I have to get my gluten free starter going so I can make these. I quit on it because I was sick of making crumpets and no other discard recipes really worked lol. Now I have new things to play with. Thanks!

    The best use for discard is "sourdough spice". I freeze dry it and subsequently grind it into a powder in my food processor. It's very brittle and turns to a powder in a couple of seconds. Now you have a way to impart the same sourdough character and you don't even need to use a sourdough starter!

    This video just moved in to my top 5 or 6 of collaboration! I do okay when I have discard once a week (I am keeping my starter in the frig) but now I can do the daily feed and have recipes for using the discard. I learned a lot, and have quite a few recipes to try my fermenting skills. Thank you so much for a great collaboration.

    Wow you jam packed alot of goodness into this video! I want to try them all. I have made the discard pizza before. It was great! And the crackers. I haven't made them since my husband cracked his denture eating them but he loved them. Thanks so much for doing the Fermented February again this year !     Thank you! I still need to learn more about sourdough starter and the discard, but knowing that you can make things from the discard is very helpful (as a little exciting).

    Will definitely be trying some of these discard recipes. I've had my sourdough going for over 3 weeks now! I still cannot believe it started from my old sourdough back in March 2021! I had dehydrated some and just stuck it in the freezer. Now it's bubbly, delicious and able to make all the things.

    I love having all of these options for my discard - and it's nice to be reminded that the discard is pretty rugged, and hang out in the fridge until you're ready to use it. Those cookies are singing my song...:) Thanks for all of it, Anna!

    Love all these recipes! The best cookies I have made are the brown butter sourdough chocolate chip cookies. They are incredible!
