This system has transformed my playing. For years and years I have been stuck in the horizontal pentatonic and I could never get my playing to sound melodic. After one week of the "Never Lost Method" my playing is more natural and free flowing and it sounds much more musical. I thank you from the bottom of my heart.

This is amazing. Not only does this allow you to move up and down the neck without worrying too much about scale positions, but you can also easily find every scale position based upon which string you're root note is on. That clicking sound is all of our guitar necks being unlocked at once

Look man, It's been said before, but you're very selfless and generous with your knowledge. You should feel good that you have the real respect of real people. It's that "taking a knee" to get on the students level, approach. From all of us learners, thanks. If you stop now, we would not hold it against you, you've been too generous already, but, we're begging you, don't stop the lessons, they're so rich & so fun.

Dude. You're a great teacher. Watched tons of videos about linking the pentatonic patterns. You by far have explained it the best. I have always strayed very little from the first pentatonic pattern when soloing and now I'm all over the fretboard. Best buck and a half I've ever spent. Thank you.

Ian, I feel like the light just clicked on -- this and part 1 are excellent! Like some of the other commenters here, I played 25+ years ago and just did not comprehend enough of how the pieces fit together. I just picked up playing again this year and recently committed the 5 pentatonic minor positions to memory, so the timing of these 2 videos is perfect. Thank you. I look forward to mining some of your other videos.

What an awesome video. The way you teach this "never lost" system is so totally understandable. Your videos are helping me LEAP forward in my playing as I am FINALLY starting to understand this Mindbogglingly simple yet complex instrument. Now that I am feeling very comfortable with my 5 pentatonic shapes, this system is helping me learn to connect them. I REALLY feel that I am getting close to putting it all together. I can't say thank you enough for these videos and this system. It's breathing new life into my passion to play music. (even if I am still not all that good at it... I'm getting better all the time)

I have to agree with many of the posts I have been reading...I have been playing off/on for over 25 years--acoustic fingerpicking, mostly; I got picked up by some friends a few years ago to play rhythm guitar (bought myself a PRS electric) in a local band and sloowwllyy have been trying to figure out leads, which the other guitarist is very helpful in sharing and pushing me to play more. I have watched (and subscribed) to several pretty good teachers on UA-cam, but you My Man have FINALLY done it in a way that is really helping connect it all and find my way across the fretboard. Thank you so much--It might be a combination of the practicing (pentatonic patterns) so far, but I love the NeverLost system. I am actually seeing and feeling the connection now, and am not feeling so lost on where/how to improvise--feels so good and exciting! I look forward to hearing/watching many more lessons. Best, Chris
P.S. the fact that you reference Mark Knopfler and David Gilmore in a couple videos--two of my absolute favorite lead guitarists--is just icing on the cake! You also mentioned Carlos Santana and he pretty much rounds out my top 3! :^)
