I had the pleasure of being in Akeelah and the Bee with this man and he is a consummate professional and an inspiring actor. We all learned so much from being in his presence.
I could listen to Laurence Fishburne talk all day. There's something about the way he speaks that has always captured my attention. I love almost every role he's had, but I can watch "Hoodlum" over and over and over again. Can't believe he's still so handsome.
Always outnumbered is one my favorite movies from Larry and King of New York is my favorite Larry character and now that I'm a father with 3 children I appreciate the father roll from Boyz in the hood even more now
I remember Lawrence Fishburne 's lean years. Hell, I followed this brother's career since Cornbread, Earl and me. I always hoped he'd have respectable roles, but I understood how racism listed gifted Black actors into playing fucked up stereotypes. I was so glad to see him and Morgan Freeman persevere til their gifts were recognized.
As a father mr furious styles was the best a single father could be and that gentrification stuck in my then young mind and what a great actor hats off 👏🏾 👍🏾 👌🏾 1 of the best
The iconic Fishburne, strange according to IMDB after Apocalypse Now in 79, he had multiple roles the next year, then in 81, 84, 85 one role per year in various medias. Then in 93 after staring in "what's love got to do with it" nothing in 94! Figures many times fans and producers have a hard time separating the character from the actor.
@@fuhyou3223 no bullshit! just because it was "released" in 95 does not mean it was made in 94, obtw tell that racist 💩 kolars ? kimbas kolars kimbas!!! 🤣🤣🤣
Naw, my generation, we gave Fishburne props long before 'what's love got to do with it' . Deep Cover, Bad Company, Boyz in the hood, Higher Learning. He had some roles.
I wish she would've asked him about Black*ish! Man, I just wonder how that role came about for him and how was it doing that for 8 seasons. Loved him as Pops!
Jewelsssss of Inspiration from this man 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾😍😍that's without obviously taking into account his actual ridiculous level talent come on somebodyyyyy ❣️❣️❣️
I remember him from a PBS show in the '70's but I forgot the name of it. I think the character's name of the actress he played opposite of was "Angela."
I just read wikipedia in Apocalypse Now, it grossed $40 Million Domestically and $100 Million worldwide. Its classic film. Plus I worked with Fish on King of New York, very high honor.

Lawrence is a class act. Definitely one of my favorite actors.
Excellent interview 🔥 love Laurence Fishburn’s body of work and the way he answered the questions with grace and style
Cop: "sumthin wrong?"
Furious: "Yea, it's just too bad you don't know what it is.. Brotha " My favorite scene of that movie.
I'd love to read his autobiography if he ever writes it. Would be a great read!!

Let us not forget his most important role ...1986 - 1990....
as Cowboy Curtis on Pee Wee’s Playhouse🏆🏅🎯
He had three movies come out in January and February 1995. He was working in ‘94.

Hearing Fish talk make me want to go to read some deep literature and imagine his voice reading it to me
Laurence Fishbourne did the voice work for the Autobiography of Malcolm X on Audible. Loved it.

He also read a few chapters in the Bible read by famous African Americans on Audible
He'sbeen arounda minute. I guess that makes sense considering Cornbread Earl and Me came out in the seventies. Can't wait for the whole Interview

The Furious Styles character saved my life. When u growing up outside frfr
I really learned something from this video when he said something about bringing things to work.
I so love when he played the role as Bumpy
Yesyesyesssss
THIS IS WHY HE IS THE MASTER THE MAAAANNN AKA MORPHEUS!!![999]
Shame because Apocalypse Now is so greatly written and is now considered an masterpiece in movie history.
When I studied film, that movie was like the high bar when discussing or comparing anything about film and film making.

Hey you guys need to promote this show. Like I’m not understanding the marketing budget here but Laurence Fishburne is needing more views than this.

Laurence fishburne is a legendary actor
Lawrence Fishburne would be my pick if we ever got a Neil Degrasse Tyson biopic.
I think my first experience was Lawrence Fishburne as a drug dealer in King of New York. I was rivited
Cornbread! Cornbread!
Yes Cornbread Earl.
my childhood mr Fishburne
❤️😍yes
🐐
💕💕
He said the guy who directed the God Father.
He can kill so many different characters unlike Mr Washington
Great actor. The gentrification speech in the movie is BS though lol
What is he talking about The Rape Scene in The Recording Booth was very sexual and Violent! We all saw that.
😜 "Promo SM"!!
Pee Wee Herman show
He was 27 when Boyz N the Hood came out
