I'm from Melbourne, Go to the Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast both are close to Brisbane, absolutely beautiful places. I think you should do video's of both the Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast. Also check out mount Tamborine another beautiful place with amazing tropical rainforest

Yes. Visit Brisbane if you come to south east Qld. It's a lovely clean city with wonderful parklands (like Southbank) etc. A day visit to nearby moreton island is a wonderful trip to do as well.
The gold coast hinterland visiting the Gondwana rainforests I'd also highly recommend. As well as travelling north a bit to the sunshine coast. The Glasshouse mountains and hinterland, Australia Zoo, Noosa etc. Someone else suggested staying on the gold coast or sunshine and just doing day trip to bribsane. that's a good idea too. As both coasts have a lot ot offer.
People exaggerate about Qld temperature imo. As someone whose lived extensively in Sydney and south east Queensland. (Which has a DIFFERENT climate to far north Queensland. despite this people keep lumping the whole state together.
Brisbane is sub tropical and stable and far north is tropical and only has two seasons, wet and dry and is more humid). Anyways, I digress lol, I experienced WAY more extreme temperatures and uncomfortable heatwaves in Sydney.
Melbourne also experiences these in summer (june-august). We're talking late 38-45 degrees Celsius.
Where as south east Queensland which includes Brisbane and the sunshine coast and gold coast, is a more stable climate in terms of temperature.
I moved back to SE Qld a couple for years ago and the average temperature the last year was 24-28 celsius in summer and spring. Saw a lot of 26 degrees this year.
I can count on one hand the number of times it even reached 30 degrees this year in summer. Compared to the heatwaves of other southern states.
Yes you will get some humidity at times in Brisbane but it's not that dramatic. Go for a swim or put a fan on or seek air conditioning if it's a huge issue for you. Staying near the water can help with breezes.
Far North Queensland such as Cairns, Whitsundays etc you will definitely experience more humidity and really notice it there.
And don't be put off by residents complaining about weather anyways, for any of the states really. Because they have a different mindset, they are living there all the time. So it's different perspective. You'd be visiting each particular area for what? A few days at most?
So it'd be no big deal anyways.🤷
In regards to beaches in Qld. The beaches in South east Qld. The Gold coast, Sunshine coast and Islands like Moreton and Bribie etc all have beautiful beaches you can swim at.
It's only the tropical north (Cairns, Whitsunday etc ) that has stinger seasons where some beaches may not be swimmable. Some have netted areas to swim and there are other safe swimming holes and lagoons. (Also crocs in some places up there). Well worth visiting tropical north though as it's stunning and home to world's oldest rainforest and biggest natural reef amonng many other attractions.
I've been to all states aside from SA and the beaches in WA, QLD and NSW are the best imo. I don't rate Melbourne or Victoria's beaches much. Melbourne and Vic has plenty of other drawcards though as do all states.🙂
Really depends on what type of trio you want but if you want a mix of things then visit a mix of states because they are all so different.
And again I'd Reccomend a mix of both cities, coastal, regional and outback IF you have the time. 🙂

Brisbane is also a good base camp to see the rest of south east Queensland, you can day trip, overnight or weekend to the Sunshine and Gold Coasts or the theme parks on the gold coast for a day trip, there is also Towomba and the Garnet belt, there is also easy access to Morton and Stradbroke islands, you can day trip to them but it's better to Overnight or Weekend them there is Frasier Island to the north if you want to weekend up there.

It really depends on what time of year you come to Australia to know the best places to see at that time. When you can pin that down, our recommendations would be better to suit the weather. Eg. You don't want to go Melb or Tassie in winter, or Qld in the wet season, or Sydney etc...

  • @warwickofnorwich
    @warwickofnorwich Рік тому +3

It will depend on what time of the year and how long you are here as to my suggestion. Brisbane is great all year but is quite humid in summer and if you want to go north the beaches aren’t particularly safe. Melbourne in autumn is magical as is Adelaide. Tasmania in summer. Beautiful. Sydney and Perth anytime. Darwin in winter. I’m in Adelaide and it’s bloody cold but in 4 months time I’ll be complaining about how hot it is 😂. And if you want an outback adventure. The Flinders Ranges in South Australia is amazing and is only an 8 hour drive from Adelaide.

Brisbane doesn't get that hot in summer. It averages around 30C/86F degrees. It can get hotter, but it's fairly stable temps generally in Queensland. It's tropical/sub-tropical and can get humid and very rainy in the wet season.

Hi from Elsewhere in Queensland, just commenting mostly to say that I know how to say Paella. 😂 Also, most of us would just say Cootha like, "cooth-ah" Haha. He's going to so much effort to say it all weird like that too. Haha.
Honestly, this video as a guide feels very uninspired, as though it was pulled point for point from a state government website, which based on how he was saying, "cootha" I suspect it was. It listed the Art Gallery twice somewhat (yet, notably, barely mentioned the very awesome history museum, or Science "SparkLab" in the same complex). So I'll go ahead and replace that bullet point with: The Valley, Indooroopilly, or Grey St (Southbank). Those were really strange things to leave off, because they are the first places that anyone from the rest of Queensland will hit up when they go to Brisbane.
I did a quick google for you on Indigenous experiences in the Brisbane area. I found a tour, "Nyanda Cultural Tours" and also "Birrunga Gallery." The gallery seems to have a cafe with traditionally inspired foods. That gallery is in a great location too, between the Gardens and Roma St Parklands that were on that list. The traditional tour might be a bit harder to get to, it's out at Nudgee (on the outskirts) it does look good though.

For many years brisbane was listed as most livable city. Anything with "coast" in it is more expensive. Bris is closest to your normal weather. Winter in brisbane is a typically 23 - 26 deg celcius day with a low of 10 cel. Qld is also the sunshine state, sydney is often overcast , Melbourne is known as 4 seasons. The meanings are obvious. If you come to brissy i WILL but you a birthday present. Promise
