The look on ur poor sons face😢 my son does the same when his arrma kraton 4s breaks and my maxx keeps going... I just tell him hey that means u get a gpm part now and he gets happy again 🙏💙
The Kraton has had a lot of small issues and it’s definitely frustrating. We’ve made some adjustments to help keep the drive cups from breaking by decreasing the droop screws so the axles don’t put strain on the cups. Thank you for the comment
Nice bash guys, both look like fun cars. Every brand breaks if pushed hard enough. Traxxas seems to have really good plastics . Between my Typhon and my Rustler vxl, the Typhon is constantly coming home broken, but it’s a lot of fun to drive . The rustler has broken too, but not nearly as much as the Typhon.
Great Video and Bash as always. Traxxas Is Todays Victor. I lke the sledge and xrt. i think traxxas did well with those platforms. arrma is always great.

Really am amazed how the sledge seems that much more durable. The version 6 is out now and was considering it but I already have the 4s Kraton which I believe is the sweet spot for that truck. Also looking into nitro at the moment. Would you guys consider trying a 4s Kraton? If you haven’t already.
Maybe. We have a list of cars in mind at the moment. Once that list is all done maybe. I just don’t see the point in buying a kraton 4s when I can just put my Kraton on 4s right now haha
I don’t know man. I just bought last week the Kraton 6s EXB and it s a BEAST. Wish I would have gotten it a long time ago. It’s not perfect out of the box. I’ve never owned Traxxas though.
what is your setup for differential fluids front and rear in your Kraton 6s exb ? Strange that outter diff cups break like that specially being on loose dirt..I have the same Kraton 6s exb and run 125k in front 15mill center and 90k in rear do some big air and quick runs like you doing ..never breaking any diff cups ..also running 16 tooth pinion gear ..awesome video 👍👍
A slow 360°? Arrma is catching up for sure. Traxxas is more expensive but very durable, Arrma isn’t as durable but much cheaper. If Arrma can fix some of the smaller issue they would definitely be the brand to beat.
The SLEDGE is really a tank, I’d say it almost more dependable than the MAXX. If Traxxas would fix the motor mount issue, I wouldn’t see a need to upgrade anything. The Kraton is a great RC, just needs some adjustments to try and get it to be durable. When the V2 comes out, I’m getting one cause it’s my favorite RC (BANDIT).
@redbanditracing They are making a sledge v2 called a bandit? Do Traxxas have a history of listening to its customers with issues like the motor mount? I just got back into rcs again after a 25 year hiatus 😅
The SLEDGE has become the most reliable basher we have. The Kraton not only broke that drive cup, but also broke the arm and hinge pin (bent) on that side.
Sledge’s design is certainly better but for the price i feel they really cheaped out on the Aluminum quality. Lower arms aside, the Arrma’s got so much better quality parts over the Traxxas

Sledge survived the day - Bent chassis, bent shock tower and pin piece come coming out. That doesn’t sound like it survived. It sounds broken. The Kraton had less damage!
That’s definitely incorrect, the SLEDGE kept going and that’s what matters. The Kraton ended up with a broken drive cup, broken arm, and bent hinge pin which you can’t run after that.

I have built 3 sledges with 100% aftermarket parts. 1 vitavon build, 1 gpm build and 1 adu racing build. I love its design.
Both are great cars Kraton just needs some adjustments

Definitely different plastic material between the brands. It helps a lot to soak your arms in WD40, then wipe them down. Helps the plastic
I haven't had anymore issues since switching to the GPM +3mm cups. Good luck :)

We live on the central coast, we visit SD 1 to 2 times a year.

Did the Sledge run on a stock chasis or one of those MCM or GPM chasis?
Stock chassis with M2C motor mount. With that motor mount it doesn’t matter if the chassis is bent.
Where do I get me one of those covers for the chassis to help keep the dirt out? Definitely seems like a nice thing to have!

We have been running stock diff fluid. We have loosened the droop screws to see if that will help
