Hand Turning Metals Toolmaking

A sneak preview of my own bespoke hand engraving chisels, made from stainless steel 316 and Pink Ivory timber, a very hard wood with the most striking colours and grain pattern, made to complement my homemade engravers vice or engravers block.
If I get enough interest in the hand turning of metals I may do a complete course of how to accomplish these tasks, using soft alloy and brass etc.
It truly is a satisfying passtime to see curves and radius taking shape, sort of a human CNC movement but much slower and deliberate all the same.
