[Gwent] Operator Mill

I had pretty low expectations for this one, but I guess they were surpassed. I expected to not have anywhere near enough round 1 points to be able to push, but thankfully people just kept passing for card advantage. While the other mill deck, with stuff like Isbel, Stregobor, and a Tibor combo has some more points, this deck's mill package is far more reliable. Rather than playing 5 power units that need to survive to mill the opponent, you just Operator over a Viper Witcher and copy it a bunch. Now, this deck is still firmly in the meme category for sure. Almost every win with this deck felt like a theoretical loss, where our opponent took a bad pass in round 1, or pushed in round 2 where they didn't need to. Even the hyperthin decks have a pretty solid plan against you just going for a 2-0.
That said, this deck was a lot of fun, and I definitely enjoyed playing it more than the other version from last month. Rather than losing 200 fmmr, we ended up gaining 40.

Right before this was uploaded I had a mill deck vs mill deck match. It was the funniest game ever tbh, we both had pretty much a perfect round 1 hand and even picks and then just went yolo on the rest of the rounds with the leftovers lol

Why do people think Milling is trash, I personally run a Lock/Mill deck with Imposter and I do it to controll the board even when I'm losing. Works wonders for me

Was the most entertaining gwent content i've seen in month it feels. Mostly because I like to watch the netdeck calanthe herds getting clapped. Man, gwent is so boring, seems like homecoming flushed out almost every creative person and left only all the tryhard netdeckers.

Or maybe there is just a few strong decks you can possibly arrange, and even if person tried to, like, create strongest Calanthe deck by themselves, it would end up being the same as netdecked, so why bother doing it by oneselves...
There should be enough good cards/combos and archetypes to make 3 different decks per leader, imo!

What do you advise to do against a mill deck? I know they are not strong, but rng against them is through the roof

Never pass round 1, then depending on your deck either 2-0 them, or pass into a round 3 where they can't get card advantage from their mill cards anymore. Mostly depends how brickable your cards are. A Portal deck probably wants to try for the 2-0, while a deck without powerful thinning options can just take the round 3.
