It's verses written by Pre-Colonial Punjabi Sufi Pir/Seer' and poet/philosopher or what not people might term him, Baba Bulleh Shah, in order to negate all forms of identifications one might put on oneself. An ode to freedom from the taint of conditioning which entraps one's free being in multitudes of identities, be it religious, social, political, sexual, so and so on. "Bullah ki jāna main kaun?", the hook, means "Bullah (Bulleh Shah) doesn't know who he is [literally]", said in an assertive and at the same time in a questioning tone. He himself is unaware of his identities in this society, having not been tainted by its conditioning.
