- The BJP’s claim of ‘400 paar’ is a joke, ‘300 paar’ impossible and even ‘200 paar’ may be a challenge in the Lok Sabha polls, said the Congress leader Shashi Tharoor, terming the ruling party’s loss a “foregone conclusion”.
In a recent interview with PTI at the agency's New Delhi headquarters, Shashi Tharoor confidently predicted that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) would fail to secure any seats in Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and Andhra Pradesh, and would perform even worse than its 2019 results in southern India.
Tharoor, engaged in a three-way battle for the Thiruvananthapuram seat, expressed assurance in securing a ""very comfortable win"" against his opponents. If successful, this victory would mark Tharoor's fourth consecutive term representing Thiruvananthapuram, making him the constituency's longest-serving Member of Parliament.
