They soon simply ignored the disaffirmation of the adoption. Lilly and Lucinda were back to being mother snd daughter by 1995 if not sooner. They never mentioned the disaffirmation again. Lucinda never “readopted” Lilly.
Yup. Apparently Lucinda saw Holden in a hospital when he was missing, and Lucinda didn't say anything to Lily. Lily was also angry about the fact that Lucinda knew that Aaron was Holden's son yet kept the truth from Lily. It was one of Douglas Marland's last storylines and although it was a bit too long, the payoff was great.
Thanks so much for this. Lucinda at her most vulnerable! Hearing the backstory of her life was so poignant, especially knowing she never got to know Neal as a sister. Lily was obviously torn up about it all too. I'm surprised that no one tried to bring Bianca back in over a decade.
I have never really understood the point of Lily disaffirming her adoption when she was already a legal adult. What wonderful scenes between Lucinda and Neal. It was really a missed opportunity that they never got to explore their relationship as sisters.
I don't really remember. I just remember this was a heart wrenching episode. At the time, Holden had lost his memory, and maybe Lucinda was involved in some trickery?
I was obsessed with the Neal/Scott storyline back in 1993 and I'm disappointed that more of these episodes aren't on youtube. There was a Neal scene in this video that I wish hadn't been edited out.
Did they ever get this annulled? Later Luke refers to her as Grandmother? So did Lucinda readopted Lily? Or did the Judge just pretend to disaffirm their relation?
@lvsoapfan Holden was in a car accident in NY and lost his memory. He was missing for a long time and everyone thought that he might be dead. Lucinda found Holden and because Holden had no memory of his life with Lily and was basically a different person now, Lucinda decided not to tell anyone about Holden's whereabouts. Lily found out that Lucinda new about Holden and decided to disaffirm her adoption.
RIP Liz Hubbard!

I remember watching this like it was yesterday.

I loved Neal Alcott. I was so sad when they killed her off.

Was that the actress that played India on Guiding Light
yes...
Yes.
Ya but have we seen her mansion since shes moved back?? I think not! We haven't seen Lucinda house, Bob and Kims house, Susan's, Lisas!
How did Lucinda and Lily make up?
Yes! By 1995, it was as if this disaffirmation never happened. Lucinda helped Lilly through all the problems with Damian and Orlena.
who the heck is bianca and what is her story?
Wow lucinda use to have a big mansion she doesn't have shit now, has to stay at her daughterz!!
Lily blamed Lucinda for ruining her marriage to Holden - whom Lucinda always despised. Getting her adoption overturned was her revenge.
So true!!. Well said
Why did Lily want to disaffirm?
