The venom.....my late fathers favourite! Apparently traded his in for an aerial square four and regretted it so much he took it back to the dealer to swap it back .... too late! ...it was gone! looking forward to seeing you all soon
There`s a certain technique in starting a velo.as follows: 1 find TDC then 2 use valve lifter and depress kick start one stoke to bottom of stroke then 3 big kick. It shoud fire up after 1 or 2 of tries.. If no success look for other reason eg mag or carb Hope I`m not teaching my grandma how to suck eggs.
It will be good to see the bike safely on the road again. Good luck with the search for your Dads bike!
Thanks got to keep looking for my dad's bike.

If you can start the Venom when you come over you can have a ride on it Rob.
@@KSL12 oh if only!!! lol would be great - for my dad and steve!
Ask Vintage club members club. Re both bikes.
You need to follow the correct starting procedure as detailed in the owners manual, it’s unlike any other bike. Plus a good mag is essential.
Yes your right it needs a good mag. Even with a paddock starter it struggles to start. Thanks for watching.
Nice video Kevin. Hope someone can help you find your dads old Rudge ulster
Someone shut the door!

I came here primarily for the Opel service signage 😂, can't assist with the issue though sorry.
Well thanks for watching anyway. We were Opel dealers for about 6 months before Opel pulled out of the U.K
@KSL12 definitely a fan of the old rwd Opel era, having B series manta's and MK1 cavaliers for many years, in addition to most things 2 wheels
