Actors hated that storyline, it was a stupid love triangle to keep the show going. Ross and Rachel also had a baby together. It is just weird nothing else. If Emma didn't exist, more fans would've liked that storyline. I know I will but the show was about Ross and Rachel. Soooo it is not surprising where the fans stand.
