I’d love to see you guys take some of the longest domestic flights out there: LHR-BDA, CDG-RUN, BOS-HNL. Would be fascinating to see how the flights are treated compared to international flights!
I'm pretty sure there is a Jeb video of HA's BOS-HNL service from a few years back. Of course, with DL launching service soon on that route (with an opportunity for Suzanne to laugh at the DL 763 business class seat (while forgetting UA's 2-4-2 777s...))...
I plan on taking that bos hnl flight it also start 21nov24 but my dads bday is the next day so then ill have to get back to denver. But im ok with that. Each yr i go to hnl just for pineapple
During Covid you could even fly from Paris to Tahiti nonstop on a Air Tahiti Boeing 787, which then was with 15 800 km by far the longest domestic flight ever.
I'm French and it's fun to hear you speaking in French, in a nice way of course, bravo! You both seemed to enjoy travelling together and that's what counts the most! Thanks for sharing your experience!
AHA!!! Nice to see this flight covered! Im from French Guiana and I flew on this route in 2010 (Cayenne, Ft de France, Pte à Pitre, Pt au Prince, Miami) and we landed under the 4th of July Fireworks :D
Hi Jeb, Thanks for brightening up my weekend with your video of the Air France A320. As usual you give so much great detail. Have a wonderful weekend, Peter
I actually took the flight from Miami-Guadeloupe when I had a tennis trip with my school. I am only 13 years old. I was actually traveling alone so I was booked into coach but the extremely nice check in staff gave me an entire row to myself! The staff were all extremely friendly and breakfast was served on the flight. It had breadsticks, juice, yogurt, and bread. The breadsticks were stuffed with cheese and they were extremely good. I ended up taking some of the same pics of the islands as Jeb did. I was so excited when I saw this video. I am also considering going on the Alaskan milk run with my dad sometime soon. Love your vids guys keep it up.
I love your excitement over unusual flights that most of us have never even heard of. I enjoy learning about these places how you get there. Thank you for brightening my day!
I remember seeing an AirFrance A320 flying over the US for the first time on fr24, until France owned some small parts of land near the Caribbean. But keep up the great content this was a nice video
Air France have been operating short haul aircraft (it used to be 737's) on local routes to/from the French territories in the Caribbean for decades. There is nothing new about this.
Great video. I can relate to this one. Flew MIA-FDF-MIA on this flight 15 years ago . Our flight also included a stop in PAP Haiti. Guess they won't be going there for a while. Video is pretty much how I experienced it. Awesome!!
@@dazlebluefrogifythink it was after WW2 only allied airlines were allowed to fly to West Berlin so BEA, Air France and US carriers so TWA, PA etc could be wrong but pretty sure that was it.

Nice ! Most of these wirebodies are doing very long domestic flights, just like the CDG or ORY to RUN flights, and only doing that all year round. The flights between the mainland and the overseas departments have different cabins (departments have the same status wherever they are, mainland or across an ocean). There's also a premium economy and business class, but these flights being domestic, they are a slight notch under the international products. Several years ago, Corsair used to fly these routes on 747's with 580 seats... Air France has a part of its fleet dedicated to the COI sector ("Caraïbes Océan Indien" for Caribbean Indian Ocean). These aircrafts are configured in higher density than the widebodies on international routes. Air France's 777-300ER's in COI configuration have something like 470 seats if I recall correctly, while the most common international configuration has 296. Flight attendants don't particularly like these flights because they pay less (they're not international) and have more passengers. There's a kind of air bridge from Paris to these destinations.

Iberia used to have some narrow bodies based in Miami as well. MD-80s followed by the A320 I believe. They flew to several Central American and Mexican destinations, feeding flights from Madrid and Barcelona.
Hello Jeb, i'm from Guadeloupe ! There's a mistake in your video. The correct spelling of the name of our island in English is the same as in French, so it's written "Guadeloupe", not to be confused with "Guadalupe", which is a town in Spain. Anyways, love your videos !

Fun fact. The AF Caribbean Hopper MIA-CAY, in the early 2000’s, used to be on an A320 stopping at PAP, then PTP, followed by FDF where passengers would changed planes into an AF (Air Cairaïbes) ERJ-145 onto CAY.

I used to live in Cape Town and used Malaysian airlines used to do a 5th freedom flight from Cape Town to Buenos Aires. Strange flying on an Asian airline without being anywhere near Asia
Great video as always, Jeb! This is an interesting flight and reminds me of the Alaska Airlines milk run which you should do a video of one of these days.
Iberia based a small fleet of A319s /320s in MIA to service the hispano-phone Caribbean . I flew from Madrid to MIA on an Iberia B747 and then onto Costa Rica on the IB A319 to San José . It was subsequently discontinued as the overall logistics proved daunting . This was in the early 2000s
Thanks for this. It was nice to see as I lived in Martinique for a few years as a child in the 1980s and have flown on each these sectors but not all on the same day! The airports have greatly improved since I was there.
Greetings Jeb! This flight and airplane answered all my questions. I work near Miami Airport and I see this A320 all the time me wonder why is there. Thanks again for the content!! Looking forward to watching your next adventure
When I worked for United Airlines in Oakland back in the mid 1980s, we had a DC-8 come in from Chicago that then flew across the Bay to San Francisco. Flying time could be anywhere from five minutes to half an hour, depending on inbound traffic to SFO. I flew it once and they always had to upgrade people to first class for weight and balance reasons. During that time, though, they had a mileage plus frequent flyer promotion that gave you triple miles for a flight segment. That attracted many flyers that came to Oakland and flew to San Francisco for the bonus mile points. Their spouses hopped back in their cars and drove to San Francisco to pick them up and go home. Those were some strange flights!
Back in the 90s, I used to stop at PTP every time I was flying back to CDG from SXM. It's a direct flight now but it was cool seeing that terminal again!
Guess what… it came from the island of Guadeloupe more precisely, it is its homebase in the French Caribbean , it has destinations such as : french Guyana, Martinique (another french island) , sint marten , Panama City . 😊
I remember seeing a Tik Tok about saying Spirit jokes aren’t funny and the plane is landing in MIA with an Air France A320 in the background and half the comments confused about it 😂 As a South Florida resident, I knew about this for a while but still cool to remember this exists!
I took this flight monthly for years working in french guiana. You left out one country it use to land in Haiti. It made the flight really long. Plus in Miami customs meet the plane at the gate and arrested 60% of the passengers. As most of the Haitians had bribed there way on Board without passports. Average wait time in miami to get off 2 to 3 hours. A miserable flight!!!
I can't tell you how much In love it when I log into UA-cam and find a new video from Susanne. I guess you do an good job too Jeb. LOL. I love the videos you guys do Thanks soo much
Interesting that the island hopper has a choice of hot meals in business class, while short-haul (narrowbody) AF business class out of Paris has a "take it or leave it" cold meal.
Thank you for your most informative and entertaining travel videos. In 1981 flew with the former French airline UTA between Jakarta and Sydney, From memory the full flight was Paris-Jakarta-Sydney-Noumea (New Caledonia). It was doubtless a very long flight for people travelling the full distance from Paris to Noumea.
I got one for you. Kona, on the Big Island of Hawai'i. Other than the w.c. and the restaurant, it has NO WALLS... which I think makes it the only international airport so configured. I've been there, both directions... it's fun! (And if it rains?? I didn't say there weren't roofs! It just RAINS, and yeah, if you're too close to the not-wall, you get splashed. Aloha, welcome to Hawai'i!
HEY !!! French Guiana is where I live... it's also where the EU launches its future rocket Ariane 6. I like the fact that you display the best view from our aging airport. Great stuff !!
As someone living in the Caribbean it’s cheaper for us to fly to the US than it is to fly within the Caribbean. Heard it has to do with the Caribbean having expensive landing taxes so it pushes up the ticket prices. You should look into trying out Caribbean airlines from jfk / yyz / fll / mco/ mia to Trinidad or Jamaica.
I got stuck in Guadeloupe once, after workers in France went on strike. So all these island airports shut down, even though we were on American Airlines. Watch flights end of May and in August. Popular strike times! Would love for you to add the dates you are making these trips. Great video!
No meal on a 30 minute rlight! You guessed right. I used to connect all the time from Houston to Austin (30 minutes) and you're lucky to get a cup of orange juice.

LHR - BDA is not considered a domestic flight.

Can you do an investigation of the A321 for Aer Lingus coming to EWR? OH and JetBlue flying to Paris? Those would be great coverages.
Thanks for the ideas! There will be a JetBlue European route coming soon👀🤫
Greets video once again! ❤❤❤ have a great weekend Jeb!
Fantastic video guys!!
I remember seeing a Sud Aviation Caravelle at Miami covering this service in the early ‘80s.
