"Crafted Expressions: Embodied Traditions in the Indian Performing Arts" explored the linkages between craft and the performing arts, shining a light on the ways in which artisanal mastery has enriched the auditory and visual realms in the arts for centuries, across theatre, dance, puppetry and a host of other forms.
Among the show's many highlights was a display of works by Kshitij Jalori, a talented textile designer who presented a truly unique representation of the Potloi Uniform worn by Potloi dancers in the Manipuri dance form. Through a masterful interplay of light, shadow, and fabric, the installation offered an experiential journey into the essence of this tradition.
