The same thing happened to me while I was playing sky on my Nintendo switch.

I needed this so much 😢 I literally didn't know how it was supposed to sound, so I always got it wrong.😭 Got it on the 1rst try after watching you do it.🥰
After the crash , i can't even go to the musical coliseum , i can't even start the quest , even when i'm using teleport option from the duets guide.
I think we should just wait for the bug fixes.
Open the game and right time you can move you need to immediately go to the Duet Guide (Your home should not be the Aviary Village). Tap on the Second quest then tap teleport. After you teleport, tap on the second quest again and you will be fine. The trick to escape the crash is you need to do it fast and step by step.

lol i skipped the final cutscene and it still crashed then i cant even teleport from the spirit in old homespace. may as well wait for the bug fix i think

So , guys , maybe i have a workaround , but only for the pc , i didn't tested it yet , but just turn off in game steam overlay , and it should be fine.
Edited:Nope , that's not working tho , so , it's broken on all platforms , it's sucks , so i think TGC should fix it fast.
After what I read from your comments guys I will not start the mission until tgc fix the bug or for a couple of days

Hello.after my fifth crash.i reconnected my internet.after that, it worked for me now. I'm not saying it will work for everyone.. but it works for me

I can't stop the crashes😭 i try to redo the quest to skip the cutsceen but it crashes before i can do anything, before it even starts😭

I crashed twice, but then I could watch the cutscene and all was good! No harm done.
Well the problem is you can’t even get into the map now, 2 seconds on that boat crashes us over and over.
Another work around is…
Turn off your service ( wifi/data ) before going to the area and do the quest and turn it back again once completed.
for me it automatically finished it when i did it cause i did it earlier and crashed.
This issue happened in beta months ago and that's how I got around with it.
The reason for this issue is Festival Tech.

It seems tgc turned the event tech back on and it’s working I finished it

I managed to enjoy the quest and even the after cutscenes and even got to spend a little bit of time afterwards with no crashes! Tho once it did crash - it stopped working completely. Now I can’t spend more than 3 seconds in that area 😢
Guys am I the only one who struggles with these music sheets? I never play with them in sky so I freaking struggle 👹👹

I did the quest but it did crashed 2 times... I also hope ghosts go away... I liked it more before... Like i know they are person from other servers but make me anxious see a close place so crowded...
i was able to succeed on my switch using your method, but my phone cant XD its gotta wait for the patch
thanks for this! i find the music playing to be very unintuitive. i had trouble figuring it out as someone who’s been playing for years but never had much of an interest in music. it was getting on my nerves!
Somebody please post the buttons order for PS4. I can not do the music, it makes no sense on PS4 and I am a musician. If the buttons would just light without the stupid arrows it would work much better.
I just cannot get through this on the PS4 either. I hate this season and regret buying a season pass.
I hope they fixed the bugs real quick so i can buy shoes because i'm fed being barefoot.

I got the mission done but the final cutscene crashed me, went back and now I cant even be in the room for a full minute and it crashes. 😢
Cant try this fix cause crash happens before cutscene loads.

ROFL, i got frustrated, switched the playstyle, and just swiveled my joystick.. and somehow that counted.
