Garry has actually gotten to be a good commentator. He's giving more information about the tricks as they happen, giving a little more insight, and giving stoke without being crazy or annoying like he used to be in his first couple years on the mic. Stoked for Ryan.
Definitely one of my favorite courses I've ever seen for any skate event. Reminiscent of the THPS or Skate games, which I'm absolutely loving. We need more courses like this. Also, would love to see more real street events, maybe even some in a place where we could get some lines, not just best trick? 🤙
Well, its really hard to be consistent at several types of hard tricks. Giovanni has his fakie go-tos, yuto is a nollie rotation guy, carlos ribeiro has crook nollie flips and 360 flips etc.. id say that Jagger probably has the deepest bag, consistency considered. But once the world does get tired of yutos nollie 360s, im sure he will already have moved onto the next craziest thing.
Glad they’re back to having sick courses. The x games always used to have cool courses that looked like video game levels then they fell off for a while. This one is dope.
Don't get me wrong, Yuto is good..same tricks. But Ryan was pretty much the only one doing flips down the double set, kelvin was flipping into tricks and the massive sign as well. But aye congrats to the winner
Gotta say, Kelvin H was robbed. His was the best line and flow of the day. Yuto is awesome, and maybe his approach is akin to Malto's SLS victories when he had it 'figured out'? Regardless, great skateboarding. KH won imo.
I believe Decenzo deserved it. Yuto is very young. Has a long career ahead of him. Many more contests to come. Decenzo is one of the last of his age group. Would have liked to see him get this one. But props to Yuto.
That was a great comp I really wanted ryan to win and when Kelvin hit that after the buzzer I originally said I didn't want it to count but I'm glad it did they should have a last banger rule where if you're on the way to the obstacle even just running to put the board down it should count in the line they shouldn't have to rush for the last trick when it's usually the make or break trick of the run the judging was perfect the riders killed it and thr announcers kept you right in it all great broadcast xgames
Are we sure it even did though, who knows maybe score would be even higher but I do wonder and I agree completely if you are on your way rolling up to an obstacle the trick done on it should count 100%. Like in basketball if ball leaves hand after the buzzer it will count
@Weather_Nerd I believe they did his run was good but nothing out of the ordinary for the caliber or skaters but that banger at the end really made his whole run
Yeah he’s still got some great years ahead of him. I’m no pro at anything and certainly never had such an injury (broken lower back and both fibula bones before) but I will say at 32 I still feel as good as I did at 27 which is considered the peak of the male body usually. Hopefully he comes back stronger than ever I absolutely love to watch that man
