This is better than most videos I’ve seen when working in tight spaces under the hood. Keep it up
Thank you for the nice comment.
Update. Changed alternator with your help.
just one FYI, we could not move tensioner far enough from the top, AC metal line right in the way, but easily managed it from underneath. Only two man part of the entire process.
Thank you, helped me a lot on 2014 Taco
Love these Tacoma vids
Great job thanks ! Very helpful, especially showing the belt routing, we might need that tomorrow if we replace the original alternator in my grandsons 2007 Tacoma. 197K Mi. and it quit charging.
Hell yea this is my exact truck color and year
I made the video just for you.
I have a 2010 same colour only difference is the smoked headlights I think lol but my Alternator is seizing up I freed it up once from total lockup seized back to life totally fine again this was 3 plus years ago lol but because I don't use it as much as I should it seems like it wants to seize again thanks for the vid I'll watch it when I'm ready to do the job thanks again @@737mechanic
Is it possible to remove the spill shroud from around the oil filter?
I have no clue where the belt tension pulley is at, first Toyota Tacoma so I'll need to watch a few video's on this vehicle. I can see it's actually an easy engine to work on, it's just the 1st one in our family... Thanks for posting it...
Sorry buddy. I will do a video just on the belt in a couple days.
@@737mechanic I ended up getting out a second Makita light. I have like 4 different types of Makita flashlights, so I do have one where the bulb section is on a 18''coil-cable so it can be put into cramped locations. I clipped it to a fan blade. That gave me the light needed & out of the way.
Strange so many small bolt to remove but it is what it is. Still trying to figure out why the alternator is so snug when it's up in place. That's where I'm at not. Just came in to take a break... Thanks for the video though. Even with all the shaking/movement of the camera, you do get the just of the way it's on the engine. I was watching one video & the guy had his video in the wrong engine category. Inline 4 cylinders & V-6, hard for him to screw that up.... Thanks for the reply, I'll edit my first comment when I get finished installing..... MD...
Thanks, Bud. 'Preciate it. 8)
Thank you for making this. My question is how many miles did you have on your truck and what oil do you use? Not to sound like a d but I have 140k miles on mine and not a single oil leak and everything looks mint. Other then the alternator finally giving away I’ve def not had they kinda rust and leaks and I live in NY. Lol thanks again
The truck has 250,000 miles, I use Valvoline but we have only had the truck for about 1 year so I do not know what kind of oil the previous owner used.
My alternator isn't even on that side
What year and what engine do you have?
Eu quero 1 alternador mas estou em Angola luanda
