My all-time #1 motorcycle. Brought mine in 1978 and put over 250,000 miles over 7 years of riding. Great to see and hear the sounds.....loved mine!

Beautiful bike. I remember these new in Honda showrooms back in 1978. They were special then and today. As I recall the period tests had these F2's running the quarter in about 12.74 s. Even today that's respectable. Congrats on this gorgeous and classic machine.

Jr. looked like he was about to lift that front wheel up! Lol....Y'all's town is beautiful. Beautiful trees. Nice hills. Nice roads, in great condition! Louisiana is flat as can be. No nice trees and woods. Torn up streets. Hot and humid as a Volcano. I would much rather y'all's cool and cold weather! Great video.

I bought a Super Sport 1969 back in 1989 for 300 dollars ! It had just undergone a full rebuild nd was painted all black with four into one pipes, was a Brute of a Bike ! ! I ran it from Los Angeles down the Interstate10 to New Orleans in the middle of June and it ran all the way like Japanese clockwork and I made it in 3 and half days with sleeping tow nights to give you an idea of my average speed on that trip of trips in my life ! I sold it to some cop in Louisiana for 350 dollars, wish i hadn't !! As i recall it was registered as being from 1969 .... seems like this is very early no !!

My Dad got one of these in the late seventies/early eighties to replace his Gold K4, 750/4. I had a 1976 750/4 F1 (single disc @ front) in 1983/84. It was a nice bike but the stainless steel discs were a bit scary in the rain in Europe!

My brother had this exact bike.....most of the time I saw it only on the rear wheel. He was very, very good. Unfortunately, he hit a deer with it on a very dark night after he'd just passed a car. Was very lucky but ground his knee down to the bone pretty badly. Helluva bike.....same color,everything.....

I bought a new red 1976 SS in 1977 when stationed in El Paso. Was a great, fun bike to ride in NM, as well as rode it to SD. Returning to El Paso from Sioux Falls, I gassed up late at night in Colorado, got on entrance ramp and hit the gas, zooming by a patrol car. He pulled me over and gave me a kindly warning to slow down.

Back in the day, I had a '78, F2 SS, man was it fast. I had two mechanics say ... no way am I riding that again... it was an original Honda test bike from Texas. It had a balanced, blue printed 750 bored to 883. I miss it.

This is same as the one I had, sold it before being transferred to Germany. I had rear springs shortened and new foam in seat to lower it down a couple inches.

Had a 78 cb750f with the 836 kit, progressive front and rear. Had to paint the frame and rest of the bike. Still wish I had it. Basically gave it to a friend when I moved out of state. Can't believe how much they are selling for nowadays.

Oohh that smooth sound and acceleration. Bought one new exactly like the one in the video. Sold it years ago but the next two owners didn't ride it, so a friend of mine bought it and was going to restore it but its sitting in storage.
Shortly after I bought it put a Shadco or Shadow fairing on it, which means the original headlight came off with the attachments.
I was impressed how Honda workers could squash so much wiring into so little space behind the lamp.
Any rate, I'd like to see it restored and take a ride down a smooth road for old memories sake. Its the only motorcycle I didn't crash. My spine is messed up a bit so motorcycling not a good idea any more.

Bro,you are definitely the man I need to talk to. Everybody else either keeps ignoring me,because my wife and I are disabled, raising a 14 yr old boy,and don't really have 2 nickels to rub together. But I just purchased (for too much I think, but have been told I got a good deal,if I could put some money in it) a partially stripped down, painted up,and NOT put back together (which was also not fully disclosed,at all,but noticed after I had already gotten the bike home (longer story)lmao, 1978 Honda Cb750K with original in-line 4. I would love to fix it up,wasn't really looking for that style bike, but it was all I could afford,i was really looking for a 99 shadow ace,and the guy made it sound like 10-15 dollars was gonna have it running, but from what my "very untrained eye" can see idk. I do know my front brake is somehow disconnected (it just freely moves back and forth),no shifter(splines coming out of transmission, just no pedal),gas tank is disconnected,(with missing parts, but as far as I know,no leaks) seat is not mounted(also appears to be missing parts),no cap on tank,or lock on gas door;a lot of possibly minor items that to me right now seem out of reach if u know what I'm saying. Any hints on how to get these parts next to nothing would be appreciated. Once I have it running I plan to either trade or sell to get my shadow(or dyna),but I can't sell, and should not have been allowed to purchase this bike, and he knew my intent was to be on 2's asap. Please help. Thanks for your time and consideration

Gearbox won’t be silky smooth for long if you keep banging it down the box like that. I’m surprised with you being a dealer. Also put some proper kit on. You’ll come a cropper one day flying down that high street so you’re going to need it. Very nice bike.

Same i have a 1975 cb750k5 too, and a 78 750k. Don't cut it! I have a cheap fender illuminator on mine for the brake light and plate, makes it much more sporty. It was my first bike, I won't ever sell it even though I only rode them for several short rides last year. Its art in my garage.

I had a maroon colour 74 RD 350 wheelie machine i used to tease the cops with in England in the 70s a great Fun bike it was untill i flipped it over wheeling on my main street in 3rd gear and the bike dismantled its self as i slid along on my boney ass. Sold it and bought a maroon colour 76 F1 super sport........Great memories of both bikes, Especially the RD on the back wheel in town from first to 3rd gear when the lights changed from red :))
