    Enjoy the play as always bud, i would agree with JP, I personally stick to .25 or .50 right now not because of what i can afford to play as much as it is that i want to play what i feel comfortable with losing. You go on those streaks, i've had mine for sure, where you just can't get those cards to fall. Play the right cards and just keep playing, but keep it in your budget. Most important part is, play for fun. Enjoy the game. Don't play expecting to win, we know better. Just enjoy the game and play smart, when you win it will feel great. God bless bud.

    I've had 10/6 DDB .25c single line sessions where I've lost $500-700. That's quarters! That's 10/6 DDB, a positive game! Rare, but happens. The variance can be brutal on DDB/TDB. On the other hand, feels awesome to get that early jackpot hit playing a higher denomination. I once won $8000 in one hour taking a shot at $1 JOB when I was strictly a quarter player, hitting two royals. Bottom line is, we all take the pot shots. Just got to keep the budget in check. Putting in $50-$100 at a time on a single line $1 game is usually a recipe for disaster. Really relying on luck here. I would say, need $500 minimum to give a decent chance to hit something on these games here. Otherwise, it's a pot shot. Nothing else.

    • @luckypete8832
      @luckypete8832  3 роки тому +1

      yeah I usually say for a decent shot you need $100 for quarters, $200 for .50 and $400 for $1 denomination.

      @@luckypete8832 how much budget would you say if you're playing 5 dollar, 10 dollar and 25 dollar denom bonus poker?

    • @luckypete8832

      Denom or total bet? If its total bet I'd say 400, 800, 2k if you want a decent shot at something. If its denom then 2k, 4k, 10k.

    Third or fourth hand in the second round you threw away a pair of 8's and kept an ace. I'm also fairly certain you're not supposed to keep the ace when you have a hand like QKA.

    If I don't have a lot of money, I will throw maybe 2 or 3 hundred, on dollar video poker, but I play bonus poker, because two pair pays 10, and aces 400 and 2 200, And if I do well, then i can throw 1 or 2 hundred on double double

    At 5:05, the chances of the queen of spades coming up is roughly one in fortynine. Even if you do get the queen of spades, the chances of getting the ten of spades is roughly one in fortyeight. If you keep the nine of spades in this hand, then the chances of getting a flush are roughly one in twelve. I know people who have Master's degrees in probability, but they still miscalculate the probability of getting a royal flush. If you teach classes about probability, then your students may come up with more precise ways of calulating the odds.

    • @talamascan9669
      @talamascan9669 Рік тому +1

      Holding the AJK and throwing away the 9 of spades is the correct hold, if only ever so slightly. You are ignoring the EV or expected value of each hand. It is the difference between 4000 credits for the royal flush or 30 credits for the flush that must also be taken into account. The mathematically correct way to play is based on more than just the probability of each hand occuring. Any training software will show you this. Going for the royal has a higher EV of about .02

      I play dollars all the time at local gas stations on a small budget ($20 to $100) and win a lot. It's smarter to start off with bonus poker to build your money up and then go to double or double double bonus poker with the houses money..

      I strongly agree! I can personally testify, $80 is severely undercapitalized for even quarter video poker play at Jacks or Better, and this guy is playing Double Bonus, one of the most volatile video poker games in the world, at a higher denomination. Hope he was using a players card to rack up points and comps.

    Never play more than you can afford to lose. I only play dollar denom at 100% payback machines. or 99.8% payback machines (9/6 DDB or 25/16/10/4/4 Deuces Wild, or 9/4/4 Deuces Wild Bonus Poker).

    I played today, 600 in dollar video poker, not one 4 of a kind. Went to .25 cent video poker 9/6. I must have gotten 8 or 9 four of a kind, Aces Deuces, lol. The most I was up was like 150. But I played for a long time. If that could only been reversed, sure felt like the game was rigged, lol any way, good luck guys!!

    Hey Pete, Not sure if you've heard this before, but if you bring a negative attitude to the machines, as a rule, you're not gonna win. It's depressing listening to you while you play. Try being positive and happier sounding while you play. Also, if losing a few hundred bucks is going to wipe you out, you need to play quarters. Dollars will break the bank quickly if you're not lucky. There is a certain one dollar denom game that can help you come back, and that is " Super Aces Bonus ". This game pays 2,000 credits for 4 aces with no kicker. When you are low on funds, play this but only bet 1 credit per game. If you hit 4 aces, you get paid 400 credits.

    At 5:05, the chances of the queen of spades coming up is an estimated one in forty nine. Even if the queen of spades comes up, then the chances of the ten of spades coming up is one in 48. If you keep the nine of spades, then the chances of getting a flush is an estimated one in sixteen. I know people who have a Master's degree in probability, but they still miscalculate the chances of getting a royal flush. If you teach classes about probability, then if your students study percentages and or fractions, then they may be able to estimate the chances of a superlative hand coming up even better than you do. This doesn't mean all numbers are the same. If you estimate one in a million, and the true estimate is one in ten, then it's not an estimate, it's the wrong answer.
