お邪魔します。「ムベ」という植物です。これは「シナムベ」という日本名がつけられてます。
もちろん日本にも近縁種があって暖流の影響下の海岸沿いに生えてます。常緑のアケビなのでトキワアケビともいい、ミツバアケビと同じ明るい赤紫色です。棚作りで家庭果樹ともされますし、一時高速道路の緑化に多用されました。ちなみにこちらの動画でも取り上げられてた「ヤマモモ」と自然分布は重なりますね。もう少し付け加えると、ムベは九州南部で果樹栽培もされてたくらいジューシーで味はいいです。皮は開かず内側に石細胞と呼ばれるジャリジャリしたのが並んでて利用しません。手元の資料によるとシナムベも同様のようです。

They're not related. Chocolate Vine fruit is more bland in flavor than most fruits, but there is some sweetness. The seeds can be bitter though.
